We’ve been to Sahel Restaurant multiple times and have always liked it — which is why our most recent visit left us a bit disappointed.nnThe food is still good overall, but we noticed a significant price increase compared to previous visits. As regulars, it was hard not to notice that change — especially when it felt like we were getting less meat for more money.nnOne frustrating moment was the 25-minute wait for lamb chops. When we asked, we were told they needed time to grill — but based on what we received, it didn’t seem like they were actually cooking them for the full 25 minutes. The chops weren’t drastically overcooked, which would’ve made sense if they’d truly been on the grill that long. So it seemed pretty clear that in-house diners were being deprioritized in favor of delivery orders — which is disappointing when you’ve made the effort to come in.nnThe chops themselves were also very salty, and the portion quite small. The amount of rice served with the dishes is excessive — I’d much rather have an extra piece of meat than that huge portion of rice. That said, the kebab was juicy and flavorful, and definitely a highlight.nnOverall, the experience was just okay. If you’re a regular, you’ll likely notice the higher prices, smaller portions, and that some dishes are clearly pre-cooked rather than freshly made. I hope they take some steps to balance quality and service again — we used to really enjoy coming here.
Great experience at Sahel! The food was delicious and high quality. They were very accommodating with our reservation and even booked us the semi-private VIP room, perfect for our group. We requested Tahdig and they made sure there was plenty for everyone. Excellent service and tasty Persian food!
Food was excellent, if a bit pricy. The quality is excellent and the portions are huge so you get what you pay for.nnService was a little slow took 20 minutes before we were able to place our order but the food was cooked very quickly.
I had the lamb shank at Sahel Restaurant and it was outstandingnfall-off-the-bone tender and full of flavor. The atmosphere is relaxing and well put together, perfect for both family dinners and nights out with friends. Highly recommend!
We have been to this restaurant multiple times because of the delicious food and excellent service. We were always served by Ms. Nina, who was so nice and very professional. We're sad to hear that she's no longer with the restaurant .
