HaiDiLao Hotpot West Broadway

I loved this place. The food is so good and flavorful. Their hot pot has beef, pork and vegan option. There is so much to choose from. But most importantly their service is excellent. Angel was very kind and took excellent care of us. Because we did not eat beef, and even though happy hour is only on beef, Angel went above and beyond to make an exception for us in happy hour. She gave us complimentary deep friend buns and salad bar. I will go back again. And best part, they are open till 2 in night.

I would highly NOT recommend coming here. Staff are rude, service is slow and unwelcoming.nnLocation is very unorganized compared to the Richmond location. If u have a reservation, u should be able to get in right away however even with our reservation we still had to wait an additional 30 minutes. They need a better system or provide a better waiting area with more snacks and actually refilling it.nnWe also ended up having to cancel a bunch of orders because it took too long to come e.g noodles, chicken wing and more. Also the server threw away one of my side dishes that still had a bundle of enoki mushrooms left on it.nnAt least one of the servers was quite apologetic and did notice that we did not enjoy our meal.

I was curious about how the experience of going to hotpot alone was and it was great here! Service was really great, all the servers were constantly checking to see if I had recieved all my items and if everything was to my liking. I got the thom yum soup base which was delicious, I can't remember which meats I got but one was strips of beef which was very good my favourite, and the other two were the marinated beef and lamb. These two were alright, but I didn't really like the marinated lamb, it tasted more spiced than it did meaty. Otherwise, the dipping sauce bar was stacked up with great condiments, appetizers, and fruits. In total, my solo bill was $50 before tip and that was beign stuffed to the brim. I thought that splitting everything I had in 2 with another person for 25 each would still have been a bit on the pricier side. But all in all, great experience, tasty hotpot, great service, and I will definitely be back!

I have heard so much about this restaurant but never had a chance to try it. Wifey and I were buying a donair from a nearby restaurant and the friendly hostess approached us and invited us to try out. We came the next day to celebrate our son’s birthday. They showered us with gifts for the kids, 3 servers sang an upbeat happy birthday song and the chef made fresh noodle right at our table. The experience was great and the service was exceptional. They have beef specials during weekday lunch time for $2.99. A must try!
