Tried out the Jam Cafe for the first time on the west end. Just like many brunch places, this place will require a bit of a weight in line.nnThe food that we ordered were all yummy. The manager I am guessing was also very attentive and handled challenges well. I often find it more impressive how one defuses a bad situation vs managing an already good one.nnThe French toast sticks we ordered took a while to arrive but even without us complaining, the manager acknowledge that it wasn’t okay to wait so long so she came by spoke to us and took care of us : wasn’t expected but much appreciated.
Good food. Decent portion size and affordable prices.nThe only thing I don't understand is why they are keeping people waiting in the lineup outside instead of doing something different so people can come and get the number And then come back when it's their turn.nIt's almost that they want people outside waiting, so everyone passing by can see they're popular.nI would go there for the food, but not to wait 45 minutes or more on the sun.
Had lunch, brunch and breakfast at Jam a few times for couple years. Food and services are great and consistent. And all my visitors also enjoying their meal at Jam. I would recommend to be on Weekdays if you could. Line up is way shorter. Attached is photo of King Chicken Sandwich. Love it!
This bustling breakfast chain has undoubtedly earned its place among Vancouver's brunch favorites, and for good reason. If you're in search of a quiet, leisurely spot, this might not fit the bill, as its atmosphere is consistently lively, busy, and fast-paced. Yet, there's a certain charm in that energetic vibe, especially when it's exactly the wake-up call you need. While a few menu items might not live up to their lofty reputations, the diverse offerings ensure there's something delicious for everyone. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit, and fortunately, finding one is becoming increasingly easier as the chain continues to grow.
Go early and even then you'll wait in line. As long as you go in with that expectation, you'll have a good time! The team does a great job getting parties of all sizes get seated. We were a party of 11 with 2 kids on a Sunday morning. Each staff person we encountered was genuine and friendly and never made us feel like we were causing them trouble despite our large group size, the joys that come with dining with small kids, and splitting our bill up at the end of it all. Oh and the food is great too!
