The host and most of the servers were very kind and welcoming, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, one server was quite rude, the plates were placed down abruptly, almost thrown, without a single word, which took away from the experience.nnI was expecting the food to be good, especially based on past experiences at Earls Test Kitchen, but it was not comparable at all. The food was okay at best, fairly basic, and didn’t feel like fine dining.
We had the pleasure of being served by Lief on her first day, and she did amazing! She was super sweet, very attentive, and had such a lovely, cute personality. You honestly wouldn’t have known it was her first day. Keep up the great work, girl! You’re doing awesome!
I used to really love Earls, especially their seafood platter and the tuna tataki. Since it was raining today, I decided to treat myself and order in — but the experience was honestly very disappointing.nThe salad portion was shockingly small. Honestly, a pre-packaged salad from the grocery store could make five times as much. It came in a plain box with no dressing, the fries had no ketchup, and the burger I ordered for my kid was so overcooked and dry it was barely edible.nIt’s hard to believe this is coming from Earls. I really wonder if they still care about their food quality or their loyal customers who used to love and support them.nI didn’t even touch the tuna tataki— I’ve completely lost trust in their food. Sadly, this experience convinced me I won’t be go back to Earls again.
Earl's — A Disappointing Anniversary Experience Due to Service MisstepsnnWe visited Earl’s to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, what could have been a pleasant evening was overshadowed by a series of service missteps and poor communication.nnWhile walking to the restaurant, we called to confirm we were headed in the right direction. We were told we were — but just 3 or 4 minutes later, we realized we were going the wrong way. After turning around, we arrived about 15 minutes later than planned. Not a major issue, but one that could have been avoided with more attentive assistance over the phone.nnOnce seated, we ordered the 6oz prime sirloin steak dinners with mashed potatoes and vegetables. While waiting, we requested more water, but it didn’t arrive until nearly 30 minutes later — and only after we followed up.nnThe food itself was a mix of highs and lows. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were delicious. However, the mashed potatoes were noticeably salty — enough to take away from the overall enjoyment of the meal. We mentioned this to our server, and eventually the dinner manager came by. The initial offer was to replace just the potatoes, but we asked about the rest of the plate, which had already cooled. There didn’t seem to be a clear plan for handling the entire dish.nnEventually, the manager offered to replace both meals. We agreed, hoping it would help salvage the evening. A short time later, my wife told me she had lost her appetite and didn’t want to continue with the meal. I asked the dinner manager if the replacement meals had been started. When she said they hadn’t, I let her know we’d prefer to cancel them — we just wanted to leave.nnThe server provided takeout boxes, and we were told the bill had been waived, a gesture we appreciated. Still, the damage had already been done.nnThe issue wasn’t just about salty potatoes. It was the lack of proactive service, the delayed responses, and the absence of empathy in how the situation was handled — especially on what was supposed to be a special evening.nnThere’s potential here, the steaks and vegetables showed the kitchen is capable, but the service and overall guest experience need to improve significantly for us to consider returning.
Came here on a Saturday night with friends. The service was excellent, except for the fact that they kept turning off the heat in the patio area where we were sitting. We had to put our jackets on throughout the night until this prompted them to turn the heat back on. As for the good and drink, I tried two of their drinks: the raspberry frozen margarita the flavour wasn't on their menu, so just ask them what kinds they have! and the Moscow mule. I would definitely get the frozen margarita again, but the Moscow mule was pretty watered down not even vodka-wise, but I barely tasted the ginger beer. I didn't even finish it because it just tasted like ice. The food was pretty decent! We got the spinach dip to share.
