One of the biggest restaurants on Granville island. We came here looking for oysters but realized we had been looking at the Bridges restaurant menu it’s separate from Tap&Barrel Bridges. No oysters available at T&B but we decided to stay anyway.nnThe mussels were a perfect substitute. The dish was great, very flavorful and not too buttery as i’ve had other places. We enjoyed a few cocktails on the patio in the sun and ordered from the happy hour menu. Recommend trying the fried pickles.nnA great spot to check out on the island. Take the very across the water to English bay if you have time!
It was so good. Truffle mac and cheese was out this world. Cajun chicken burger was delicious. Service was good. The view was awesome. We sat outside watched the boats go by. If we get to come back Vancouver we will definitely eat here again
Very nice Surprise at Tap and Barrel. They gave us an amazing table that had a TV in front of us and it was very private too. Great place to spend the Super bowl with my friends. The service was pretty good too and everything came fast. The food was ok, nothing special but it was bad either. I will definitely come back, prices were good too! I definitely recommend making a reservation here cause they are very thoughtful about them.
We were craving dessert after dinner on Granville Island and decided to check out Tap & Barrel. Walked in, got seated right away, and ordered a Carrot cake, Sticky Toffee Pudding, and a Blueberry Tea Cocktail. The cakes were amazing. I particularly enjoyed the Sticky Toffee Pudding cake. It is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and topped with caramel covered walnuts. It was delightful .nThe tea for the blueberry tea cocktail comes in a tea pot with a “Mighty Leaf” teabag. It was good.nOur server was nice and always around. We visited on a Saturday night and there was a football game on. The place was packed and alive. We enjoyed our short visit at Tap & Barrel.
Absolutely wonderful location. Large setup with seating for hundreds at multiple level including outside seating.nnFood was quite okay, not really impressive, but nothing to complain about.nnService was prompt and attentive.nnWonderful place for the atmosphere. One of the few places which is open in the area till late night.
