Wonderful local hangout, great food and welcoming atmosphere. I had the pleasure of attending on a game night. What a wonderful experience with some honest and proud enthusiastic patrons. All around great establishment. The salmon chunks in their fish pie were plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend.
Ordered the vegan pie. Received a cheap salty bean chilli topped with a few overcooked sweet potato fries. Was fairly impressed that the server could keep a straight face when serving it. The beers on offer are equally drab, unless you're going for the Guinness if that's your jam. Also the salad served with the vegan pie was covered in a dairy based dressing. Pub itself looks fine and the service was attentive if nothing else.
Went here today for the first time.nThis is a very cozy British pub with a good friend.nWe had a very nice Irish waitress.nWe had the Fish and chips halibut which had been very tasty!!nThe fish had been a good portion! :nI would like the fish a little less greasy and the coleslaw is tasty but could be more, it's a very small portion.nWe will be back as I heard they also have excellent mea pies.
I ordered the halibut and chips for take out. We each got a big portion of halibut and handcut fries. The halibut was crispy and fresh. I also love their coleslaw.
Great house made burger! The beef barley soup was spot on! Classic old school homey neighborhood pub. Comfortable and cheeky banter from the chef and locals.
