Big Way Hot Pot 大味 (Kerrisdale)

I love this place. You can choose from a huge variety of ingredients see photos, then they get weighed, and you choose the soup broth.nnEverything is super fresh, and the staff are just great. Every time I've been there the staff have been really friendly and very efficient. Even my first time there, when I wasn't quite sure how the whole thing worked, they were very helpful.nnI've been here three or four times now, and each time it's been wonderful.nnI particularly like the enormous range of proteins including beef, pork, lamb, fish, seafood etc multiple types of mushrooms, greens and noodles. You have to see it to believe it.nnThe only reason I have three good a 4 and not a 5, is that I would love it if they had more low sugar or sugar free drink options for the free drink you get during happy hour, also I would lives a low sodium broth option.nnBut just nitpicking here. The place is awesome.

Absolutely amazing experience at Big Way Hot Pot in Kerrisdale! I ordered the big pot with lots of ingredients, and everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere was lively, with lots of teenagers enjoying the great music. The service was fast and efficient, the place was spotlessly clean, and the dishes were well-maintained. The decor was modern and inviting, making the whole experience even better. Everything was perfect! Definitely coming back and highly recommend it!

Came when it's just opened, and thankfully, there was no lineup when we arrived. The place is a bit small but newly renovated, which is nice. There are lots of options for the hotpot items, and surprisingly, a lot of noodles. Tried the collagen broth and vegan tomato soup base. Both soup were really good, wished they provided more soup. Service was quick and friendly. Matcha ice cream after we finished our hotpot was really nice. Will come back again!

An awesome place for hotpot when you don't have a lot of people to go to hot pot with.nnIt's a self-serve, personal bowl format. You pay what your bowl weighs. There's so many options for broth and hot pot ingredients, all presented to you across an upscale, buffet-style wall. They serve ice cream at the end of your meal, so leave space for that. To get the best bang for your buck, forgo the noodles and load up on the actual meat and veggies.nnThey don't screw around with spice or mouth numbing flavors, so if they advertise those 2 things and that's what you ordered, then that's what you're going to get. Speaking from experience hahannDress casual here. Come way in advance, and maybe eat a little snack before you come, as both parking and a table are sometimes hard to find.nnI love this place and try to go at least once a month during colder seasons.

Every time we come here we have a blast! The ingredients are always fresh and well organized so it’s easy to grab and make your own pot, pretty easy process,clean and at the end of finishing your hot pot they serve you ice cream cone! great detail 10/10
