The Westin Edmonton

You can definitely tell that the staff take pride in their work. The check in process, food and other service was excellent and they were very helpful. I do with that there was underground parking space available reserved for Hotel guests or that the space was clearly marked how many spaces were available. Besides that, it was an enjoyable stay!nThe room was clean but I had trouble getting some outlets especially in the bathroom to work.

We stayed at the hotel this weekend so we could attend the Oilers game. The location was great but the hotel room was less than desirable. The bedding was old and stained and the bathroom was not clean at all and there was only luke warm water for a shower. The fridge had beer in it that someone else left there. We were going to complain but due to the hockey game it was hard to find another vacancy somewhere else. The breakfast place was also closed at 10 am to purchase a bite to eat before we headed out. We were very disappointed as this was a special occasion for us and it made for an unpleasant experience!! I would not recommend staying here

I'm leaving this review for one of your amazing team members, here's the kicker; I didn't even stay there.nnI had accidentally ordered an item online and put the Westin as the delivery address. My item had been there for a week when I noticed last night it still hadn't been delivered.nnI called and this lovely lady named Rakshasorry if I misspelled her name took my call and went to find this item. She found it!!!nnThe point of this is that she made me feel cared for as if I were a guest at this hotel. I work for a luxury brand and seeing this level of service is comforting and gives me the confidence in recommending this hotel to my friends and family.nnToday is November 22nd 2025, when I posted this review.nnIf I had this level of care and service and I'm not staying there, I can only imagine what kind of service I'd get if I did stay here.nnThank you Westin for having an amazing team member part of your hotel!nnJ

I have been travelling for work throughout Canada for 10 years and this was one of the worst hotels.nnFor 2 days, we had trouble parking at the hotel. The first day, the parking was full so we couldn’t get in. The second day, the door to the underground parking would not open. Both days we were forced to park across the street under the theatre/library $40/day. The app for that parking lot would not let us pay beyond 2am. The staff at Westin 2 ladies explained to us that they didn’t know how payment there worked, since they don’t work for that parking lot. There is no way that we were the first Westin customers to have parked across the street…. My husband had to go to his car at 2am on a work day to extend the parking.nnThe 2 queen bed room was surprisingly very large but dated. Our room came with 1 free bottle of water each day. The washroom was not the cleanest, the room and washroom both looked routinely cleaned but not deep cleaned in a long time. The shower corners were pink and black, same with the floor tiles. The room phone was very very dirty.nnThe hotel provided free hot water and coffee in the lobby but they ran out by 9am and did not refill. In the afternoon, there was free hot chocolate but it was way too sweet. There were a few conferences going on at the hotel, but the elevators were not busy for most of the day.nnRoom does not come with a microwave but you can request one. There was also no kettle, just a drip coffee machine and ice bucket.nnI wouldn’t come to this hotel again, but I would bring my own shampoo and conditioner too if I did.nnLocation is very convenient if you are a tourist or working downtown. Short walk to most of the attractions downtown.nnNote: as of November 20, 2025 there is still construction outside the hotel at the front entrance.
