Very nice hotel and service. Stayed there 2 adults & 2 kids. Rooms are large and very clean/comfortable. The whole team is awesome. The garden is beautiful. Excellent food. Manager fixed an error on my reservation and made it right. Will definitely come back.

We’ve always enjoyed the Confederation Lounge at Hotel Macdonald, but our last visit was extremely disappointing. The 35-minute wait for a table was understandable given how busy it was, but once seated, we sat for nearly 20 minutes with no server in sight. I had to go to the bar just to get drinks, and even after an hour at the table, no one ever came. I emailed management afterward but have yet to receive any reply. For a hotel of this caliber, both the service and follow-up were shockingly poor.

So we went as a group to celebrate a birthday. Horrible horrible experience. The waitress did the best she could given the circumstances. We were seated outside. Immediately we were overcome by the loud, incessant, rave music. The same steady metallic beat, over and over on an endless loop. We couldn't hear each other talk. At first we thought it would be one tune and then it would change. Not true though. The same sound on an endless repeat the entire meal. After a half hour we asked the senior waiter to turn the noise down noise is what it was so that we could hear each other. We also asked if they could switch to something more fitting for the location and scenery. Nope, can't be done. Several of us ended up asking for doggy bags and leaving early. The birthday guest was so disappointed by how her much looked for outing was destroyed.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring all my needs were met. My room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could ask for. The bed was super comfortable, and the view from my window was stunning. I also enjoyed the hotel’s facilities, including the restaurant, which served delicious meals, and the spa, which was a great way to unwind. The location is perfect—convenient to local attractions and transportation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I’ll definitely return next time I'm in town
