I recently stayed at this hotel over Valentine’s weekend and I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with the experience. For the price I paid, I expected more parking , but unfortunately, it felt like I was hit with extra costs at every turn. First, the breakfast wasn’t included in the stay, and I had to pay an additional $50+ CAD just to eat there—definitely not what I expected. On top of that, parking wasn’t complimentary for guests. I had to pay another $55 CAD for parking, which felt like a bit much.nnBut the thing that really threw me off was the lack of a microwave in the room for guest use. It’s a basic convenience that most hotels offer, but not here. It just felt like a lot of money spent for very little in return.nnOverall, while the hotel had its charm, I’m not sure I’d recommend it to others, especially when you factor in all the hidden costs. Rating it a 6/10—there’s potential, but it didn’t live up to expectations.
I recently stayed at the Coast Hotel in downtown Edmonton, and I had a fantastic experience! From the moment I checked in, the hospitality staff at the front desk were incredibly welcoming, professional, and accommodating. They went out of their way to ensure my stay was seamless and enjoyable.nnThe restaurant staff were equally wonderful—friendly, and attentive. Thanks to their excellent service and delicious food.nnThe hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. I highly recommend the Coast Hotel to anyone visiting Edmonton. Their team truly goes above and beyond!
I've stayed at the Coast multiple times and it's always been pleasant.nHotel staff are consistent, professional, and helpful.nRooms are mostly neat and tidy. I did find a small piece of dried bread beside my bed and it's for sure not from me as I can't eat delicious bread : However, out of three stays this was a first. The sheets, surfaces, and washroom were otherwise clean. I LOVE the bidet.nBed was comfortable and pillows were perfect this time.nThe gym is decent, although I didn't use it this time so I am giving a rating based on last year's experience.nLocation is good for getting to the events centre and the arena if needed. Lots of places to eat around the hotel.nI had my parking covered for my trip, but there is a decent amount available for a cost. If it's game night you may struggle to find a spot. They do have an overflow lot directly across from the hotel.
The hotel service was good. The room was very clean and comfortable...We got the discount for the Oiler game so our room/home for two nights was very enjoyable. The house cleaning lady offered exceptional service and was very kind. We would stay here again and again... Next time we are requesting the top floor. I highly recommend to all.
Where to start. Parking prices are insane. $25 a day to park outside across the road. If you don’t pay for it at the front desk and use the kiosk in the parking lot the times end at 530am and you’ll get a ticket if you don’t renew right away and it won’t let you renew till it expires. So make sure you pay for the parking at the front desk. First night we noticed black dots on the sheets that looked like permanent marker and a couple red dots that looked like blood? Anyways had the manager and someone else come look at it and decided to change the sheets. The guy that came to do this was beyond helpful and apologized a lot but he went through 3 different duvets because each one had these weird stains on them. We finally had enough and said don’t even worry about it anymore. The rooms have gone down hill since we were here a few years ago. The grout in the shower tiles were turning yellow and didn’t look right. Bring your own pillows because the ones on the beds are way to high for a normal person to use. The pool area is borderline dangerous. The ceiling is literally missing in some spots. There’s to much to explain about the pool area. And not in a good way. Met one guy that paid for indoor parking on the property but couldn’t find a parking spot. Overall won’t be staying here again. Your paying for conscience to get to Roger’s place rather than the quality of the hotel
