We stayed in the 1 king bedroom suite with kitchenette for 2 nights. It was very spacious which we liked. We didn’t end up using the kitchenette for anything other than the fridge for our drinks but loved the space. The room was clean. Bathroom had 2 sinks and was very spacious as well.nnStaff were friendly both at the front desk and in the lounge/restaurant.nnThe second floor lounge was nice and spacious. It was nice to go to and get some work done.nnI used the gym as well during the stay. I was the only one in there at the time I went. It has everything you need for a workout.nnIf I ever visit Edmonton again, I would definitely stay here.
The reception staff and the room itself was good.nnBut the towels I got on the second day were not clean. There were some red stains on two of them. Also after noticing the stain on the towels, I carefully checked the pillow cases, and the ones I didn't even use during my stay were not clean too.nnLots of homeless people in the neighborhood. So just be aware before booking this place.
Excellent service the warm cookies on arrival were a great treat. Close to downtown and our venue. It does have a side part where homeless sleep but its welcoming vibe wins hands down. Room was clean and big.
I'm going to try to be fair here despite having a terrible time at this hotel. The positives: the rooms are decent and large, clean, and quiet. I heard no outside noise despite being between a major road and the train line. The sliding glass bathroom door bizarre choice but whatever was difficult to close due to having no handle on the inside, but not a dealbreaker. The rooms only have walk-in showers, no tubs, which may be great for adults but less than ideal when traveling with children.nnMy specific problem was that I booked a two queen room to accommodate my travel party of three. Shortly before our stay, leaving no time to make other arrangements without spending twice as much, the hotel downgraded us to a king room. Using the Hilton app I had to upgrade back to a two queen room, paying an additional $30 per night to get the room type I needed. I was able to complete app check in and choose my room. But upon arrival, I had been downgraded again to a king room... but the front desk employee still expected me to pay for the upgrade that they refused to provide. Just a ridiculous situation all around.nnI would not recommend booking here if you are traveling with family or friends and require a specific room type, as they can't seem to honor their confirmed reservations. The problem I faced was blamed on overbooking, which seems like something they should be able to control. I can also see from reading other reviews that this is not a one-off occurrence, but something that is a known problem. So be aware.
Great stay, extra friendly staff Neeja even went over and beyond for us. All staff had smiles and solves everything properly. We had lots of people staying in lots of different rooms and everyone that happy the whole time. Large rooms and very easy to get to the convention center.
