This place was awesome! Went for the first time to watch the Super Bowl and although it was busy, the service was somehow unmatched! Mia and Tony were great! The happy hour specials were awesome, and the atmosphere was perfect to watch the game. Tons of screens, no bad seat in the entire place.
We had the BLT sandwich which came with fries and a salad, and the sizzling brownie. The BLT was well seasoned with quality bacon, generous amounts of tomato and shredded lettuce and the fries were tasty and crispy. The brownie was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Good solid food in a bright clean space — ambience very different from when it was a pub, and some will miss the vibe! Still, will be back to try other items on the menu.
This is a great place to watch a game. They have a massive screen above the bar flanked by smaller ones next to it, then more around the corner. There are also several TVs throughout other areas so there are almost no bad tablesnnThe food was pretty good for the most part. Other than the guacamole being a bit bland and not as creamy as I’d expect maybe they did a chunky style on purpose?, we enjoyed everything else. My Nashville Chicken Sando was awesome normally I don’t think much of coleslaw in a sandwich but it really worked with this one. The brussel sprouts with bacon was awesome as well. My friends enjoyed their burgers and Caesar salads while their regular fries were extra crispy and tasty it’s got some seasoning on it and isn’t just plain salted.nnThe drinks menu was pretty big and there are a lot of beer options.nnThe server was friendly and attentive despite a packed house for the Canucks/Kings game.nnWe’ll definitely be back for more games and meals.nnSorry for the sad food photo; we were focusing on the game too much.
This is our new go to place after hockey at UBC. Great food and service and amazing screens. Nicole was our server and she was fabulous!!
They replaced Biercraft with an equally disappointing restaurant nnWe got the truffle fries, ahi tuna bowl, and macho nachos.nnFries: Stale, barely lukewarm, and bathing in grease - like they were the greasiest fries I’ve ever had in my whole life. Sober 1/5; drunk 3/5.nnTuna bowl: I’m so sad a living animal had to die for this bowl. What a disgrace. I almost ALWAYS finish my food and I actually couldn’t shove any down at the end.nnNachos: I’m pretty sure the nachos were assembled and then sat under the warming light and didn’t actually spend any time in the oven. I think the sun on an overcast day would’ve done a better job of melting the cheese.nnBut the servers were nice and the bathrooms were clean!
