Ordered the burger and fish & chips. The food was okay overall for us. The burger tasted good, though it was smaller compared to burgers we’ve had at other restaurants.nWe had the poutine on the side, but it wasn’t really our favorite because it tasted a bit sweet from the bacon. The bacon was sweet. We put them on the side and ate the rest of the poutine but of course the hint of sweetness was still there.nThe fish & chips was mostly batter with not much actual fish inside. We also got a beer flight and yam fries, and ended up spending over $110 during our trip here.nThe atmosphere and location were nice. Nice patio, it’s walkable to an ocean view and a flower garden.
Great little brewery set in amongst the trees. It was a perfect 26 degree sunny day here so we sat out on the deck area. 6 of us in total and all ordered something different off the menu. Everyone extremely happy with the food and the beers. The dark ale was a standout for me!nInside was super nicely decorated, loved the room with the sticks on the wall!
I visited Stanley Park Brewing twice during the summer of 2024. On my first visit, I ordered my usual “Sunsetter,” a peach-flavored beer that I often enjoy at restaurants around Vancouver. However, this time it tasted like there was almost no peach flavor at all. We asked if it could be replaced, and they kindly changed it, but the second one tasted the same—more like a regular beer than a peach ale. I assume it may have been an unsuccessful batch. The food was fairly standard as well, with nothing particularly memorable in terms of flavor.nnThe atmosphere is nice, but getting in without a reservation can be difficult. They usually take your phone number for the waitlist, and sometimes they misunderstand the number, which means they may call or text the wrong person instead of contacting you. This happened to me on my first visit, and it caused unnecessary waiting.nnOn my second visit, the beer was much better and tasted as expected, but I still remember there being a long wait. Overall, in my opinion, it’s not really worth the waiting time, especially since there are several nearby restaurants with better food and shorter wait times. That was my personal experience.
Came back to order the pork pizza only to find out it was taken out from the menu. My wife had the reuben, which she recommends, the fish and chips looked really greasy when looking at other people that ordered it, so I stayed away from those, ended up ordering the new bacon pizza, but truly disappointed, will go somewhere else next time we are in the area, good thing is Vancouver, plenty of choices.
Beautiful park, heritage liking building. Service was attentive and personable. Beer was good, food was good. A bit of a glitch with timing of appy and main, server and manager made it up to us. I respect an establishment who makes it right when mistakes happen.
