The location of this hotel was fantastic and all of the people that work there were lovely, friendly and helpful. It is dog friendly. I didn’t use the hot tub, but I did use the in room tub with bath salts each night. I had a surprisingly good view to the harbor and it was walkable to so many things. Highly recommend!
Just wanted to share a quick review of my stay at the Coast Hotel. My wife and I booked a spontaneous one-night getaway in Vancouver, and it was a great experience overall. The concierge staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which made check-in easy and welcoming.nWe were lucky enough to have an amazing mountain view. The hotel offers early check-in for an additional fee, which we took advantage of so we could enjoy the pool and hot tub. Valet parking is also available at a cost, but it was well worth it to avoid the hassle of finding parking downtown.nThe room and bed were clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. The only thing I would change is the room temperature at night—I personally prefer a colder room when sleeping.nOverall, I would highly recommend the Coast Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay
Great hotel and very clean. Loved the Toto toilet! Good location and pleasant views. Stayed here twice in a week and will book again. On my second stay, I was selected ‘guest of the day’ and got a goodie bag and a voucher towards a meal. Very whimsical initiative. I recommend booking directly and signing up for the rewards program. I did that and got upgraded to rooms with beautiful views.
There is an office building right next to our building. So we could not open the curtain.nnWe booked a room for three people. But the amenity in the room was only for two people.nnBut the room is great. They provide slippers.nThe washlet is nice. Hair dryer is good.nThe fridge is great.nWe liked the bath tub with nice shower curtain ! Because taking a bath is great after the long walk in the cold day.nThe room is very clean and comfortable.nnThe reception people are reasonably kind and helpful.nnWe’d like to stay again when we come to Vancouver.
I recently spent two nights at the Coast hotel in Coal Harbour that I can only describe as boldly experimental in its approach to comfort. It felt as though the designers had asked themselves, “What if a room had all the essentials… but each one slightly wrong?”nnThe Bed: A Musical Instrument in Disguise:nEvery time I shifted my weight, the bed let out a squeak so dramatic it could have been auditioning for a haunted house soundtrack. I half expected it to start narrating my dreams.nnThe Lone Mirror: A Study in Minimalism:nThere was exactly one mirror, located in the bathroom—clearly intended to encourage introspection, or perhaps discourage any attempt at grooming that required more than a single angle. If you wanted to check the back of your hair, you’d need to develop echolocation.nnThe Curtains: Optimistic but Ineffective:nThe curtains didn’t close fully, leaving a cheerful gap that welcomed the city’s lights directly into the room. It was like sleeping beside a lighthouse that had taken a personal interest in me.nnThe Décor: Stark, Cold, and Emotionally Distant:nThe room wasn’t cold in temperature, but in personality. It had the warmth of a tax audit. A monk’s cell would have felt positively indulgent by comparison.nnThe Bidet Toilet: A Triumph of Engineering Over Usability:nFinally, the pièce de résistance: a bidet toilet with a seat so small it felt like it had been designed for a Victorian child or perhaps a decorative doll. Using it required balance, courage, and a flexible relationship with dignity.nnIn summary, the hotel delivered an experience—just not the one I expected. If you enjoy quirky accommodations with a sense of humour intentional or otherwise, this might be your place. If not, consider bringing your own mirror, blackout curtains, and possibly a more forgiving toilet seat.
