We had an excellent stay at the Blue Horizon Hotel in Vancouver. After getting off our cruise early in the morning, we were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was able to check us in and provide a room at 9 AM, which made a huge difference after traveling. The front desk staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.nnThe room was spacious, very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The housekeeping and maintenance staff also did an awesome job and were always courteous and professional. The view from our room was absolutely beautiful and added even more to the experience.nnThe location of this hotel is outstanding. Everything is within walking distance — plenty of restaurants, cafes, shopping, and small boutiques nearby. It was also very convenient that major bus routes and the hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus stop right at the hotel entrance.nnOverall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again when visiting Vancouver.
Very enjoyable stay, hotel is very centrally located. Room was clean and functional. We were upgraded to level 29 which had great views of the city and ocean. Would have liked some crockery and cultlery in our room to enjoy some snacks while enjoying the view. Stayed 3 nights before boarding cruise ship. Paid approx $500 CAD per night, certainly not cheap, but Canada is expensive.
Stayed for two nights for a work trip. Room was large and clean, staff very friendly and helpful - they let me check in early which was awesome, and would have held my luggage if the room wasn't yet ready. Great central location and decent price. Would recommend!
I stayed for two nights at the Blue Horizon Hotel after my Whistler ski trip and I cannot be happier with the hotel. It was a great base for exploring Vancouver especially the downtown area.nnThe room was large and roomy. When I walked in, I was surprised by how big it was. The bed was comfortable and the floor I was on 23 was very quiet. It was night after night of peaceful sleep. You can pay for early check-in which I did as I was arriving at noon. It was reasonable but tiered. If you want to check in earlier, you have to pay more. It is nice to have that option instead of hoping to be lucky.nnThe location has to be the best aspect of this hotel. Being right on Robson street means that you are surrounded by restaurants within a 10 min walking distance. Stanley Park was a short 15 min walk away. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and the shuttle to Capilano Bridge also stops right in front of the hotel. Unfortunately, the train station that would take you to the airport is a 15 min walk away which might not be convenient if you have a lot of luggage. Otherwise, the location and the value of the hotel cannot be beat.nnI would absolutely stay at the Blue Horizon Hotel again if I ever visit Vancouver.
The location is perfect and has great views on upper floors. The staff/service is excellent and the rooms are great - the bedding is especially very comfortable compared to other hotels. My only disappointment is from the spa area since it was heavily advertised, however it was somewhat underwhelming/outdated compared to spa areas from other hotels. I did not deduct any points from my rating since the spa would have been a bonus, but not enough to take away from the overall great value across other aspects of the hotel location, services, room. I will certainly be booking here again if I were to visit the area again in the future.
