Our stay was excellent! The facilities are clean and the service ourstanding. We were so touched and surprised by the display and treats for our anniversary, such a nice way to start our celebration. This was our first stay on a gold floor and at a Fairmont hotel in general - we will be back! We loved the the separate check-in, this felt very boutique like and personalized. The gold lounge food and coffee was very well done. Great location to excellent dining and attractions. Thanks!!
Our stay was beyond our expectations. The service was of a high standard and above all other Fairmont properties that we have stayed at. Any room service calls were answered promptly and within minutes what we needed was at our door. Every staff member from the time just before entering the hotel to our room acknowledged and smiled. Very welcoming environment. Well done to all the staff and the management staff for ensuring high quality standards with every guest.
Very convenient location with an amazing view of the harbor. Most popular restaurants are within a decent walking distance. The Christmas Market is just around the corner from the hotel and there is a beautiful view of the water with city lights on the opposite side of the city, which makes evening strolls very fun and perfect for pictures. We felt very safe walking around the area as well.nnDespite the location being in the city, Fairmont Waterfront is located on a quiet street, so there was very little noise in the evening that may disturb rest time.nnOvernight parking was quite pricey but we did not have a problem finding a spot. Would recommend paying in advance yourself at the pay stations to save yourself some extra cash vs. paying at the desk when checking in for your room.nnThe rooms were very clean and the bathroom counter space was spacious and perfect for getting ready. There’s also a magnified mirror that lights up for makeup. Services and amenities were excellent! We had all of our requests for services and replenishments fulfilled fairly quickly and the staff went above and beyond.nnWould definitely consider staying at this hotel again when planning another trip to Vancouver.
Everything was simply wonderful during our visit. The breakfasts were superb! The rooms were clean and spacious. The views were absolutely stunning! The only thing I would recommend is updating the hot tub and pool area—they stand out a bit from the overall experience. Otherwise, our stay at the hotel was just perfect!
My husband stopped at the hotel between meetings to check in and brought me the key card since I would be arriving with our child before him. He also put in the reservation notes that I would be coming with our child.nnWhen I arrived, I was carrying my child and a car seat and simply asked the front desk what floor our room was on. She told me the floor number — then abruptly stopped me and demanded my husband’s name. After I gave it, she said she needed to call him to “make sure I was allowed” in the room.nnI was already holding a working key card.nnInstead of calling him who was in meetings, she began calling the room — meaning she was essentially calling me — and saying it was “for guest safety.” I had to tell her, again, to call my husband if that’s what she felt was necessary.nnIt was extremely uncomfortable and honestly frustrating to feel like I needed my husband’s “permission” to access a room that had already been checked in and that I had a key for. Especially while standing there juggling a child and a car seat. It felt unnecessary, awkward, and poorly handled.nnI understand safety policies — but there is a way to enforce them without making a guest feel interrogated or distrusted.nnOn top of that, for the price, the amenities were disappointing. They charge extra for bottled water. There were virtually no toiletries provided beyond the absolute basics — no makeup remover wipes, no mouthwash, nothing. The shampoo and conditioner in the room were nearly empty.nnOverall, this stay did not feel worth the cost, and the front desk interaction left a very negative first impression.
