I had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Waterfront. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and made for a very enjoyable experience.nnThe concierge team was exceptional, especially Phil, who provided excellent recommendations and even took care of making reservations for me. His service truly enhanced my stay.nnThe only reason I'm giving the hotel an 4 instead of a 5 is that it was missing a few small touches that could have elevated the experience. Complimentary bottled water in the room, rather than charging $10 per bottle, and complimentary brewed coffee in the lobby, as some hotels offer, would have been appreciated.nnThese are minor details, but they could have made the stay feel a little more special. Overall, I had a great experience and would gladly stay here again.
I stayed in Fairmont Waterfront for 2 nights on business, attending Web Summit in Canada Place next door. Very convenient: close proximity to major convention center, and to so many other attractions. Plus it is waterfront, so this is great location all along. Tasteful common areas, polished and friendly service. Early check in was requested and granted, and so was an upgraded room on 20th floor with the great view. ALL Accor Platinum status helped there. Oh, and front desk personnel was top notch. Nice bar, friendly bartenders. Room was ample sized, well decorated, everything looked clean and fresh. Platinum amenity was also a nice touch. Well stocked and fairly large bathroom. No complaints. Well, it is expensive, and, even with high rates, it was a good value in this case. Highly recommend, wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Accommodations were nice, room was clean and staff was courteous. However, we did receive a charge on a couple of cocktails that we did not order. We had been out all day and upon our return to the room after dinner, we had 2 cocktails in our room along with an invoice for them. I had to speak with multiple people I carried the untouched drinks before anyone would investigate. The charges were ultimately taken off our bill but how such a confusion could happen is concerning.
Great location, but Very busy with noisy hallways and lobby. All roads around were closed so it was just hard to get to the parking. Very average rooms, great view if you are care. The service was not the greatest either. Our bathroom shower gel bottle was empty and it never got refilled. Only one bathrobe. Long way time for the valet service. They overcharged us for a drink from the fridge. The menu said $12 but they actually charged $27 after a lot of added other fees. They also charged us twice by mistake. I did mention this trip was for our 25th wedding anniversary, but there was no special treatment or a gesture or even congratulations card. Overall, very overrated and overpriced for what you get.
We have traveled quite a few places over the years. Never ever have we been met with such level of quality and friendly service.nOne thing is ability to fulfill requests. But at Fairmont Waterfront people like Margarita and her colleagues bring you everything you need even before you think you need it. Fabulous!
