Hyatt Regency Vancouver

The location of the hotel is superb, walking distances to shops, restaurants and the waterfront. Also close to 2 train lines.nnThe hotel has many rooms so often the common area is crowded and loud.nnThere are apparently renovated rooms with hardware floor, and not renovated rooms. Do try to get the renovated rooms if you can. They are modern and clean.nnBreakfast buffet is decent but if you don’t eat a big breakfast, ordering off the menu is better priced and fresher.nnThe one downside is the walls can be thin. We got a loud neighbor. We were woken up by loud noises at midnight.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was impressed by the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms. The maids provided excellent room service, and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The central location made it convenient to access nearby restaurants and bars. However, I was disappointed by the thin toilet paper and the lack of snacks or drinks in the room fridge, except for expensive water priced at $7. Overall, a very pleasant stay with some minor room for improvement.

The great: elevators directing passengers to different elevators and different levels so that there is no wait. Love love love the elevators. Gated parking lot upon evening. Convenient location. Rooms are clean.nnThe not so great: #1 Parking lot entrance has height of 6 feet. My SUV barely made it past the entrance bar and I think I scraped a little bit of the bar vertically but should be ok otherwise. Can height be adjusted to 6'3 or 6'5 like most parking lots? Once you get past the entrance bar, the rest of the parking lot is fine. #2 I could hear neighbors talking at regular volumes in adjacent rooms, in early evening.

Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Spa is excellent. Staff are fabulous. Elevators are fast.nSoundproofing is not great. Could hear persons talking next door/ in passage/ scraping furniture noises from above me.

Had a great start to staying at the hotel even before checking in.nnWe hd an abrupt issue with a family member’s visa which caused last minute disruption to our plans. But the manager at the Hotel, Gabriel was most welcoming and helpful and assisted me right away to help change the itinerary to accommodate our last minute change which was most appreciated. Thank you for your help and amazing service!nnHotel is in city center with the most convenient location and amazing staff. Rooms are slightly on the older side but still pleasant to stay in just a normal hotel room, nothing too special but the staff’s attitude to try and help however they can assist makes it worthwhile to stay here just for that.
