First opened in 1927, the Hotel Georgia, now known as Rosewood Hotel Georgia, came to be known as Vancouver's most historic & elegant retreat. When unveiled in 2011 the legendary property has been returned to its elegant stature at the heart of the city.

Story

Following its debut in the Roaring '20s, the legendary Hotel Georgia came to be known as Vancouver's most historic and elegant retreat. When it first welcomed guests in 1927, the hotel brought unheard of luxuries to the young city of Vancouver and Canada's West Coast. And it wasn't just the local society set that made the hotel the heart of Vancouver; Louis Armstrong, Ginger Rogers, Frank Sinatra, Laurence Olivier, the Rolling Stones and the Prince of Wales all added to the mystique of this irreplaceable piece of history.

Now unveiled as Rosewood Hotel Georgia, the fully restored Georgian Revival property has returned to its former grandeur with additional elegance afforded by extensive amenities and the impeccable service of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. My stay at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The hotel itself is stunning, elegant, refined, and flawlessly maintained but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the consistently outstanding service across every part of the hotel. From the front desk team to the restaurant staff, everyone was warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A big shout out to Vanessa from Reflection, the level of hospitality was top-class and made the entire stay feel effortless and special.nnA very special thank you to Kathy from housekeeping, who was truly fantastic. Her attention to detail was incredible. Towels were changed daily and sometimes even twice daily. My phone charging cables were neatly organised with cable ties, which was such a thoughtful touch, and I was even left a cleaning cloth for my spectacles. Biscuits were left daily in our room and slippers were placed near the bed every night. On returning to our room, it was immaculate and beautifully arranged with obvious care and pride in her work.nnLuxury hotels are defined by the small details, and Rosewood Hotel Georgia delivers them perfectly. Exceptional service, beautiful rooms, outstanding dining, and a team that clearly cares deeply about the guest experience. I would return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver.
Location is very convenient, there are many nice restaurants within the hotel and around the area. It’s surrounded by luxury brands, so they can send all you purchase to the hotel. There’s live music at the lobby bar every night. The rooms aren’t that big, but they’re comfortable and there’s enough room for two. Heated floors in the bathroom. It’s right accross from the art Museum.
Absolutely Outstanding! They exceed expectations on everything here. A 10 star experience. Went for the Mother’s Day Secret Garden buffet and it was truly the best Mother’s Day Buffet we have ever attended! It created splendid priceless memories for us. First of all their valet service was excellent. The decor with real flowers and attention to detail was amazingly stunning! The thoughtfulness of having a caricature booth, a Photo Booth section, a flower bouquet section, and beautiful MOM backdrop included in the experience made it extra fun and memorable. Koodos to all involved in planning this at the Rosewood. Service was impeccable.nnNow the food was seriously Michelin Star worthy. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, tender, juicy, and pink and medium rare just the way we like it. The blueberry smoothie was fruity and fresh. The desserts tasted high quality. The burrata salad, truffle pasta, chia pudding, and everything we tried tasted wonderful. A feast to remember.
Beautiful hotel and an excellent location. A special thank you to Taylor for overseeing such a wonderful stay before our Alaska cruise.nnWe also appreciated Miguel at breakfast for his warm demeanor and thoughtful recommendations each morning. And a big shoutout to Shay at the rooftop bar, Reflections, who not only crafted incredible cocktails but took the time to explain the details that made them so special. Who knew clarified milk could make a cocktail so unbelievably delicious?
This is simply a great hotel. Very fresh, extremely well maintained, the rooms are perfectly designed with the coziest and most comfortable furniture, towels, slippers etc. We are so used to, since the COVID era, arriving at expensive, 5 star hotels and there are so many furniture chips, carpeting tears etc because hotels aren’t renovating as frequently as they used to. Well this place is the exception. This place is truly special and there is no better place to stay in Vancouver than the Rosewood. And the staff simply exceptional. Can’t do enough to help you. Across the board the most professional staff.
