I stayed in room 1021 10th flooron Jan 24, 2025. My room was beside a “service room” where the employees constantly entered and exited. “Bang Bang” the doors sounded all night into the early morning. This is a noisy and busy wing of the hotel to accommodate guests. They should keep this area for service operations only. I didn’t sleep well. And I am a loyal member of the Fairmont and they put me in a room like this? They gave me a $100 gift card and moved me to room 703. This room was much quieter, but it didn’t have any hot water. I found this out after I came back from dinner and I called them and I didn’t get any service. In the morning during my check out, I complained and they gave me an $80 voucher and coffee and orange juice delivered to my room. This is an old hotel and it needs quite a bit of maintenance. I recommend when you check into your room that before you settle in check your shower to make sure you can turn the water on and that you have hot water. Also make sure they don’t put you beside a service room. Bring ear plugs too.
Gold level is a phenomenonal experience. The lounge is always offering an amazing selection of snacks and gourmet goodies, as well as an excellent selection of drinks. The space is so relaxing.nnThe room was so luxurious. Makes leaving the hotel difficult but the location is close to everything. We parked and didn't need the car again for the duration of our stay. I love how many steps a day you can get in and cover seeing so much of the city.nnHuge shout out to the concierge staff, especially Veronika! Super nice and friendly, and went above and beyond. Highly recommend staying here!
Gorgeous building, quite possibly the best location in the city. The parking situation is not great, it is insanely expensive. They wanted $88 to Valet, and even self park was over $60 for a night.nThe building has so much amazing charm from the outside, but they have renovated away most of the old world charm out of the inside. It feels just like every other whatever hotel when you walk in, real shame they didn't keep more of the old school charm inside.nThe room was fine, nothing amazing. We had asked for a fridge, and they brought out a little fridge on wheels that is just terrible looking. I would have been ashamed to roll this out at home, never mind at a place like the Fairmont. Our room had decent views, but the walls are paper thin. We could quite literally hear everything our neighbors were talking about or saying in the rooms beside us.nI will say that the staff were great. Service was great, bellhop and the room service people were good.nLucky for us we got a pretty decent rate for the evening, but honestly I was disappointed. We have stayed in several Fairmont hotels over the years, but this one was definitely disappointing.
The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is an exceptional blend of luxury, history, and impeccable service. From the moment you step into the grand lobby with its timeless elegance, you are welcomed into an experience of sophistication and comfort.nnThe rooms are beautifully appointed, featuring plush bedding, modern amenities, and stunning views of the city skyline or nearby mountains. The attention to detail in every corner, from the classic décor to the luxurious toiletries, makes your stay truly memorable.nnOne standout feature is the outstanding service. Every staff member is attentive and friendly, ensuring guests feel valued and cared for. Whether you’re dining at one of the hotel’s restaurants, relaxing in the spa, or enjoying afternoon tea, the experience is elevated by the genuine warmth of the team.nnThe central location is another highlight, placing you within walking distance of Vancouver’s key attractions, shopping districts, and restaurants. Despite being in the heart of the city, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle.nnOverall, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver delivers a perfect mix of historic charm and modern luxury. Whether you’re visiting for business, a romantic getaway, or a family vacation, it’s a destination that exceeds expectations every time.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel last week. I had forgotten my charger at my previous hotel and needed one urgently for an important meeting. The concierge went above and beyond to assist me, making a real effort to find a temporary charger. It was such a huge help and made my day much easier. The service was exceptional, and I highly recommend this hotel.
