We had a lovely experience staying at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The hotel is conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, waterfront and near transit locations. The hotel rooms were well equipped and comfortable. The portion of the pool area is currently getting renovated - hopefully a hot tub is part of that renovation. Despite description of the pool being “heated” - it was cool and didn’t feel heated. The temperature could be turned up a little for a much more enjoyable experience, especially for little ones. Loved the robes - the hotel even provided little robes for our kids. Overall it was a great stay and would definitely come back to the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
My husband and I stayed at the hotel in July for our 35th anniversary on the 14th floor/ Fairmont Gold room. Spacious and clean room and had a lovely view of the fireworks. Isabella at the service desk on the lounge level was the most friendly and kind employee, there was a problem with our room's temperature control that the maintenance department was unable to fix for our stay so she had a portable air conditioner installed in the room immediately when we were out for dinner, much appreciated. Saw her several times throughout our stay and Isabella was constantly checking to see if she could do anything for us and to make sure our stay was pleasant. Breakfast, snacks and evening appetizers all good, lots of options. Very happy to have spent our anniversary in such a beautiful hotel.
I can’t complain, my third stay at this Hotel.nEvery time I arrive, it’s always like the first timenStaff welcomes you with smiles, open arms, kindness, and royalty.nVery beautiful culture and their French accent is awesome.nI enjoyed the indoor heated pool which offers beverages and small meals to order.nThe restaurant is top of the line with some of the best chefs in the area preparing the fanciest, tastiest dishes you can imagine.nI highly recommend this Hotel to visitors and anyone looking forward to a peaceful and memorable stay in Vancouver
I had the privilege of entertaining guests at the hotel and it was fantastic. Their rooms were beautifully appointed and our highlights were the Haunted Afternoon Tea and tour of the hotel with David. His knowledge, and love, of the hotel made the tour that much more spectacular. So many fascinating historical details about the architecture, its guests, and place in the history of Vancouver all added to the charm and allure of the hotel. As an All Accor member I can confidently say that David’s professional, kind manner is exemplary of what one expects.nOther notable staff were Eric in Concierge and Estella in Notch 8, who both went out of their way to make my guests stay more than memorable.
Overall the stay was fine but probably would not go back. For the cost there is nothing that makes the Fairmont stand out when it comes to the rooms. Our room was incredibly hot and we could not adjust the thermostat. Since we had to open the window to get some cool air we were awakend by extremely loud church bells at 7:56AM. The toilets are extremely deep, kind of feels like you're going in a bucket which is not pleasant. There is zero water pressure so took forever to wash my hair. The pool was not heated enough to actually get in, which was really unfortunate, as we were looking forward to a nice warm swim after a day of hiking in the cold. A beautiful hotel in the common areas and all the staff are very pleasant. Walkable to multiple neighborhoods and restaurants. Also, the cost of parking is extra and not cheap so account for that in your stay.
