The steamed chicken is juicy and delicious. The food here is authentic and flavourful! We had a great Singaporean gathering here!
Been here several times and the food is always delicious!! It's a popular place, so expect to wait, suggest making reservations. Dishes are well seasoned, coming out quickly, the atmosphere was relaxed, casual.nThe servers were very efficient and friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and time there!
Ipoh Malay cuisine is tucked away in a small plaza in the Marpole area of Vancouver. It's very spacious and quaintly decorated.nnRoti CanainBeef rendangnSeafood Tofu DelightnMalay Char Kueh TeownSweet & Sour FishnIpoh Hor Fun Soup NoodlesnMalaysian Specialty VegetablesnHainanese ChickennRainbow Ice KachangnCendolnnThe Malaysian Specialty Vegetables had both eggplant and okra listed in the description on the menu. Sad to say, there was barely any eggplant or okra in this dish. We wouldn't order this dish again as it was quite a disappointment.nnAside from the Malaysian Specialty Vegetables, this place is a good place to go to for some Malaysian eats. The Seafood Delight was very enjoyable, and I was also very impressed that they were willing to make a Vegetarian version of the Ipoh Hor Fun Soup Noodles for us.nnThe menu is quite extensive so you're sure to find something that will peak your interest!nnService: GoodnParking: FreenLocation: 1316 West 73rd Ave., Vancouver, BC
This place was pretty good. We ordered the nyonya style deep fried fish, prawn hokkien mee, seasonal veggies in garlic sauce and Taro ring.nnThe nyonya style deep fried fish was good with a good spice and sweetness from the pineapple. The fish was very tender as well.nnThe Taro Ring was also very good. The outer shell was nice and crunchy and the inside was nice and soft.nnThe prawn hokkien mee was a bit toned downed on the prawniness but the noodles and texture were good. The sambal was also not too spicy.nnLastly, the veggies with garlic sauce was probably the best of the dishes being flavorful and balanced.
Tried Nasi Lemak with beef, but the rice was not cooked in coconut milk.nTried Char Kueh Teow as well which was really bland.nnSunday afternoon, only one server and one cook so the server said they couldn’t provide any drinks but soft drinks. I was really disappointed as I really wanted to try the coffee and milo and this was one of reasons I visited here. The dessert was not available either that they only had some prepared ones like pandan cakes and durian pastries.nnThey were not many customers when we seated but the server kept asking what we wanted, her attitude was soso as well.nnThe unpleasant experience in the restaurant made the gloomy Sunday even worse.
