A group of us stayed here for a weekend dance convention and had a great experience. We were on the second floor with a pool-facing room, which turned out to be the ideal location. The convention area was easily accessible by stairs, so we didn’t have to deal with elevator wait times, which can get busy. The hotel itself is beautiful, and we had no complaints about the room—it was clean, well maintained, and surprisingly nice for an older room.nnThe service was excellent, from the warm bell service welcome to how smoothly our special requests were handled, including a microwave, cutlery, extra towels, and access to the Peloton studio. The pool and gym had a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere. While the hotel restaurant and coffee bar are quite expensive, we came prepared with our own food and snacks. There are also plenty of fast-food and restaurant options within easy walking distance if you want to step out for a meal.
Booked an Christmas vacation and choose to stay at Westin Bayshore. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is right next to the bay, the Stanley Park and walking distance to local eateries. You can take a walk along the shore as well. The room is nice and clean. We asked for extra sandals and they got delivered before we arrived, which is very nice. The restaurant on site is called H2 Kitchen and Bar. We got both the Christmas dinner and Breakfast as well. The food was ok. Service honestly could be better and price is arguably has long way to match up with the value. The bill already included 18%service fee and they still ask for tip, without mention the service is barely there.
The location and view of this hotel are unbeatable. I upgraded to the mountain/harbor view and WOW. Room was dated but clean, but there were a few negatives. This hotel room was LOUD, I could hear every conversation from the adjoining rooms, and noise from the pool was constant. Additionally, the curtains were old and you could not fully black out the room at night, there was always a 2 foot gap letting in the light from outside. I'd happily stay here again but can imagine light sleepers would have a less pleasing experience. Breakfast was good.
Had an AMAZING experience, the rooms were great and there were many amenities in the hotel building and in the hotel room. I love how it is placed by Stanley Park with a view of the mountains nearby. The food at H2 in the hotel was meh, but there are many other restaurants nearby the hotel, and I love how well the hotel is cleaned, especially in the pools there. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel when visiting Vancouver, and is also great for companies because of the ballrooms and convention place.
Stayed here multiple times now great location, staff is very friendly. Nice to have good options to eat right underneath. I wouldn’t book with another hotel but the rooms definitely could use renovation, you can’t stream on the tv and it’s quite dated but if you’re not looking to stay in the room long then it’s a great option.
