Lord Elgin Hotel

This hotel is in the perfect location in downtown Ottawa. It's a classy, well appointed hotel with a huge amount of charm.nnFrom the moment you arrive you feel special. Warm valets and pleasant staff are there to help you with anything, even if they're busy. I came with my kids as a birthday treat and the staff have really made me feel special.nnI highly recommend the Lord Elgin for your stays in Ottawa!

When I travel the hotel is not the destination, it is a a refuge from my daily activities. A place to rest and prepare for the next day.nThe Lord Elgin exceeded expectations.nCheck in was quick and simple. The room was small, but nice.nWe had a minor issue with the room that the front desk addressed immediately. They even offered more assistance than was needed.nThe large bed was perfect and so was the shower.nWe were disappointed that the pool was closed.nThere is a small gift shop on site, and a wonderful lobby with a fireplace. We enjoyed sitting there to unwind at the end of the day.nThe 41 restaurant was top notch. It had atmosphere, friendly servers, and excellent food.nDefinitely enjoyed the stay here

A good and reachable hotel. The hallway and dinning room/restaurant look polished and clean and also aesthetically pleasing. Staff is super friendly and very warm and welcoming! The breakfast in the morning was outstanding and very rich. Unfortunately, the bed sheets of my blanket were ripped. The blanket itself was dirty and with brown stains. This made me feel uncomfortable. I would give this hotel 5 stars if it wasn't for the dirty blanket. Nevertheless, anything else in my room was clean! This hotel got a 5 stat potential, definitely.

So lovley hotel. Rooms typical. Nicely updated bathrooms. Great service. Zero vibe.nLobby is blah. Strange set up. Not inviting at all w funeral like vibe Old chairs and carpets and funeral music. Not much of an atmosphere at all.

Whenever I celebrate anything in downtown Ottawa, I always make an experience out of it by staying at a hotel—especially since cab fees can be too much. My go-to is always the Lord Elgin, and for good reason!nnThe staff is incredibly friendly, and I have to give a special shoutout to supervisor, Talia Aoude, who goes above and beyond to make every stay unforgettable. She adds such thoughtful, personal touches—like when I celebrated my birthday and received a card signed by the entire staff!nnThe rooms are always clean, the location is unbeatable, and the overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I truly can’t say enough about this place—if you’re looking for a great stay in Ottawa, Lord Elgin is the spot - and thank you again Talia!
