The Business Inn

Our overnight front desk personsorry forgot name was absolutely fantastic. Our shift started at 5 am and he made sure to get us some nice snacks for breakfast. It was very appreciated!! We had a fairly large team too and made sure we are all taken care of. Cleaning of rooms was very hit and miss but very easy to take out your own garbage and cupboard to grab fresh towels soap...

I was moving from Southern Ontario to New Brunswick in July of 2025 and wanted to take some time to see Ottawa on the way there. I stayed at the Business Inn for 2 or 3 nights I actually don't remember and it was great! The staff at the front desk were all very nice and helpful. The price for the room was well worth it, as the room itself was huge! Full kitchen, large bed, large couch, TV, desk with a computer, a small breakfast table, full bath, air conditioning, it had everything. It was also clean, you love to see it. The location is literally down the street from parliament hill, so there are many sights to see and restaurants to indulge in. My room overlooked the ground level parking lot, so not the best view, but that's up to you whether that matters or not.nnI think the only drawbacks are that parking is limited since it's in such a dense area. I arrived very late on my first night, around 2:30AM I think, and all on-site parking was taken, so I had to park down the street and walk back, which the hotel does reimburse you for. That's on me. I did get my car down there during the day and it's a very tight garage. I had to finesse a 2008 Honda Civic out of it's parking spot when I was leaving, so I can only imagine what larger vehicles gotta do.nnAnd while the included breakfast isn't amazing, there's still a pretty decent selection and it's hard to complain about free food. Don't bother waiting for the elevator during breakfast, just take the stairs, lol.nnOverall a good experience, I recommend this hotel. :

My husband and I stayed here just for one night and are so impressed with the hotel. As soon as we checked in we were greeted by friendly and welcoming front reception staff. When we entered the room, we couldn’t get over how clean and spacious it was. The housekeeping staff certainly work hard and do their job well here. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. Finally, the breakfast was exceptional. There are so many options to choose from and everything was so tasty. Thank you Chef Mark for your assistance and hospitality during our breakfast. We plan to come back next time we are in the area and we hope to see your friendly face again in the future !

Helpful staff, huge rooms, comfortable beds, and decent gym. Love this hidden gem and great location to walk around and enjoy downtown Ottawa. My mom didn’t like the lobby because it’s not fancy like the big hotels, but the rooms are better than any expensive hotel I have been to.

From the outside, the hotel looks a bit outdated, as do the corridors. However, the room itself was excellent — spacious and very clean. The price is absolutely justified by the level of service. Breakfasts were also very good. If I travel to Ottawa again, I will definitely stay here again.
