Stayed here for my first concert in 10 years last November, and my first time traveling alone. Had never booked a hotel before, and the lady on the phone was very helpful, especially when I was worried about how late I'd have to check in.nnThe folks at the front desk were lovely and helpful, even when I called down to the desk when my TV remote stopped working, they had a new one brought up right away. Breakfast was super good too, and it was in the perfect location. View was a little lackluster, but still alright nonetheless. I was disappointed in the pool not being avaliable :
Had an executive suite room. Extremely comfortable, lounge food was surprising awesome. Great location, walkable distance to downtown stores. Highly recommend.
Due to Ramadan, we experienced an issue with the food, but the General Manager was very attentive. They resolved our issue quickly and in a constructive manner. I would like to express my gratitude for their attention.
Everytime I stay at this hotel, there are a couple things I'm always reminded of. First, the valet parking situation is just downright frustrating with where you park your car and offload on the street. Second, while the rooms are great in size, the weird cream coloured toilets always make it look like there's pee in the bowl. Third, the specialty lounge is absolutely brutal, there's never anything up there, and lastly, the restaurant is really bad, especially the breakfast buffet. Between the servers not knowing how to talk with their soft voices and instead opting for a loud all-inclusive resort party voice, and then the buffet chafers never being replenished, or the omelette cook never being there, it's just brutal. They really need to sharpen up, they are getting obliterated by the Lord Elgins restaurant down the road which is 100x better.
We stayed at the hotel over a two week period over the Holidays. A case of beer brand new was taken from our room. Two separate front desk staff told me they'd get to the bottom of it and replace it. Nothing was done. Called again when our trip was over and was told to e-mail the manager. I have still not heard a response weeks later. Very disappointing service not to mention the case of beer was not cheap! We think the staff thought we checked out since we did not sleep in the room one night between travels. Regardless, they should never have assumed anything.
