We had a wonderful stay at Les Suites Hotel. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and very convenient for our family. The beds were comfortable, and having a full kitchen and great amenities made the stay even more enjoyable.nnThe location was excellent — close to ByWard Market, Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, and many other attractions. It was easy to walk around the city and especially convenient for enjoying the Rideau Canal paths.nnWe’re very glad we chose Les Suites and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Ottawa!
I think this location is prime. It's walking distance to many restaurants, the mall, grocery/convenience stores, the Byward market and sightseeing places. But it's quiet enough and we had 7 nights of peaceful sleep.nThe staff are friendly. The building is older but the room we got was renovated. Because the building is older, the elevators are on the slower side, and there's been line ups in my experience.nThe room/suite itself is big and perfect for our needs. Not sure if the floors were moped before we came but it was on the grubbier side, but everything else seemed clean to the naked eye. The room can't seem to keep the temperature that we desired, always felt muggy when we first go in. It was not great because I like keeping it cool especially since it was 20+C outside, but it wasn't uncomfortable. The hotel provided a playpen for our baby that was already in the room at check in we had to call a week in advance to make this request and I thought that was nice. The bathroom is clean and spacious, I could tell though that the towels were well loved and wished the towels were newer and softer. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed was comfortable, as well as the sheets and pillows too.
The rooms were nice. The rooms are big and the pull out bed was comfy. The kitchen is a decent size and includes an oven. The annoying part was the elevator. It took us on average 20 minutes to get an elevator. I suggest asking for a lower floor so you can take the stairs. We had a few issues with housekeeping dirty floors at check in, and not replacing our towels when they took the dirty ones but otherwise our stay was decent.
I thought our 4-night stay was super. Room was very spacious, clean. I loved that we had a seating area and kitchen area with a big fridge, oven, sink etc. It even got better when I noticed that there was also a laundry room within our room with washer and drier, so handy when you’re on a family roadtrip!! Really had all the amenities I would want in a room on my trip.nKids loved the pool, great that there is a gym even though the latter is a little outdated.nExcellent location, many restaurants are easily walkable. Also close to Parliament Hill, and Rideau Canal so good location for sightseeing.
Just home after spending two nights here and we were really pleased with our stay. Check in was efficient. The hotel parking was full so we were told to park in a neighbouring lot. The next day we were able to get a hotel spot with in and out privileges. Public areas were clean and well maintained.nThere is a coffee shop and bar in the lobby.nOur two bedroom suite room 1203 was spotless with two full bathrooms. Both showers had great water pressure and lots of hot water. There is wall mounted shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bottles need to be squeezed to dispense product.nThe beds were very firm but bedding clean and new with excellent pillows.nThe kitchen is fully equipped and had a fridge, oven, stove, microwave and dishwasher. They provide coffee, sugar and sweetener. Even milk and creamers were provided. There was also a kettle and tea bags.nThe fan for the AC is separate from the thermostat so if you turn it too high the rooms cool down nicely.nWindows also open as does the balcony door.nThe location is great with lots of sites within walking distance. The big Rideau Centre mall is right there.nBe aware of your surroundings though as, sadly, this area has the social issues common to big cities everywhere.nOur only frustration of the weekend was the slowness of the elevators during check out time. It is an older building and the elevators show the age.nStaff were incredibly friendly and efficient, even when super busy.nWould definitely stay here again.
