Such a great experience staying here. The rooms were excellent. All the facilities were updated and the staff was amazing.nnThe cherry on top was the woman at the front desk! We rolled in to town late and had been to 3 other hotels which were fully booked. The desk staff was rude about it too. When we arrived here the woman at the desk was cheerful and professional. Got us situated immediately so we could rest after such a long day of travel. She even warned us about construction across the road and potential for noise in the morning.nnIf any management read this please know that Jennifer Fournier is an asset and an excellent representative of your brand and company. Her attention to our needs was greatly appreciated.
We had an amazing stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Ottawa! I booked a room with a king bed so we’d be close to downtown, and it was perfect. The receptionist, Favour, really went the extra mile to make our stay special.nnI mentioned I wanted a room with a bathtub to help with my bad back, and he made it happen without any fuss. He also gave us some great recommendations for things to do in the area and even hooked us up with coupons for some cocktail bars nearby.nnThe room was super comfy and surprisingly quiet, even though it was close to the street. I felt really safe, which is always a big plus.nnFavour was so professional, friendly, and helpful—he made our trip to Ottawa unforgettable. Huge thanks to him and the hotel for such a great experience! I will definitely be returning.
Location, location, location. The hotel is close to pretty much all major attractions. Other than that it is de facto a self-service place. Rooms are clean and fairly spacious. Hotel has parking, but spaces are limited so booking in advance is advisable.
Three things that matter the most when i'm looking for accommodations: 1. Location. 2. Price. 3. Reviews.nnThe Courtyard in Ottawa features a great location if you're looking to cruise the Byward Market and Major's Hill Park; even Parliament Hill is a reasonable walk. There are lots of eateries and stores and things of interest in walking distance. Location is a win. Note: The Byward Market is seasonal. We did not know that.nnPrice: Yes, reasonable for a downtown location.nnReviews: Also good. We've stayed in Courtyard by Marriott in other locations so we knew what to expect.nnAdded bonus: For a small extra fee, parking can be included in the room rate. This hotel has both garage and lot parking with in/out access. Not something you can find.nnYou can add breakfast as well but we opted to visit some of the local breakfast places instead. We discovered the Moulin de Provence about 1/2 block away, and that was perfect.nnThe room itself was fine. Everything looked clean, comfortable and up-to-date. The bathroom was clean and well-appointed. i appreciated the Keurig. We did notice traffic noise until about midnight and then that died down this was late April but it did not keep us awake.nnThe staff was friendly, professional and efficient. We had some conversations. They were quick to respond to our requests, very nice people.nnThere was some nearby construction during the day, but it was not a problem.
The Courtyard Ottawa Downtown is in an excellent location right next to the Byward Market, it's surrounded by restaurants, shopping and is a stone's throw from Parliament Hill and the Rideau Canal.nnThe rooms were clean and modern, the front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful, housekeeping was awesome and our stay was excellent overall. Unfortunately the pool was closed during our stay which was unfortunate as it was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. Another hotel close by was offering use of their pool, but, who wants to walk to a different hotel to swim, and then walk back in -15°C weather...nnI will definitely return in the future. I'm sure my next stay will be a 5 star experience.
