If you drive and park here, make sure to enter the parking garage by the Marriott sign, which takes you to the green zone area, which has elevator to the hotel lobby. If you pull into the lot by the Starbucks sign, you'll end up in other color zone, which I did and when I took the elevator, it took me outside to the building next door, then I had to walk to the hotel :nnThe staff at the front desk were super nice, easy check-in process, and explained the whole in/out with the parking, how it worked and reminded me to make sure I threw away the parking slip I got from the machine and to only use the one they provided.nnWent up to the room, which was spacious, but the bathroom was narrow unfortunately. That was the only complaint I had about the room.nnIf you get a complimentary breakfast at the Snap restaurant, be careful.... I went down on a Sunday for the buffet, the waiter asked me if I had the complimentary voucher and I gave it to him, then 15 minutes later, the waiter dropped off a check. I thought it was just a detailed bill item and all I had to do was sign it, but nope, I was being charged for the meal.nnI inquired and the waiter asked if I had the voucher and I told him, yeah, I already gave it to you and you took it, then he said, oh, then you don't need this and took the bill, never apologized for the mistake.nnOutside of the restaurant issue, enjoyed the stay. The location was nice as it was close to where I wanted to be and the places that I wanted to visit.
Stayed there for 3 nights with my girlfriend during a trip to Ottawa. The rooms are definitely dated but we were surprised with how quiet and clean they were. We had a room right by the elevator and we were not disturbed at all.nnThe room service food and coffee were decent. The complimentary coffee in the room could use an upgrade. Pretty much undrinkable.
Good location and service was pretty good and helpful. Hotel is very dated, especially in the rooms which felt like they hadn’t been updated in at least 30 years….felt like I was in a Seniors building. Rooms were clean and staff were quite helpful. I was there for a conference and the catering was excellent. Much better than a lot of other similar types of meals I’ve had in similar situations.
The hotel is very nice, and has some great dining options. Our room was nice too, but had no view as it looked out into what appeared to be an enclosed rooftop area. Location is excellent and is in walking distance to Parliament, War Memorial, shopping areas, and many other national galleries and museums.
We arrived at hotel at 12:55pm on 26th Dec. The lady reception staff was acting dead and barely talked or smiled at us while checking us in.. didn't give us any directions on how to access wifi or the facilities available at the hotel.. we were surprised to find the pool room ourselves on the 4th floor lol..nShe also charged us extra for early check-in not sure as she never communicated what the hidden charges are for and I just discovered these charges now after returning back from trip and did not disclose any instructions that we'll be charged 79$ extra.... pathetic experience with the reception staff, will avoid this hotel at all cost!!nnThe room was decent lights were flickering as they're still using CFL bulbs..ancient technology.. location is great...
