Alt Hotel Ottawa

I am not a fan of the hotel. I had to stay for several nights on business and while it is conveniently located in downtown Ottawa, the rooms are not welcoming whatsoever. It is difficult to even get a fridge, wh8ch is a fairly common amenity nowadays. It is very minimalistic, and I absolutely hate the bathroom layout. The beds are comfortable, and the wifi is adequate. That's the best I can say about it. There is no restaurant on site, which makes dining difficult, especially for a woman traveling solo. The lounge/cafe had nominal offerings that were kind of funky and nothing for lunch or dinner. I also had too many uncomfortable encounters with unstable people around the hotel, which made trying to get food after dark almost impossible. It's a very sketchy area.nThe staff are exceptional, though. Very kind and helpful. I'd like to give a shout out to Trisha and Adam, who did their best to make my stay a little more bearable. They are the only reason the hotel is getting two stars.

Excellent location, walking distance to waterfront and most attractions; spacious room, all clean and nicely presented. They have a chromecast on the TV is a nice touch; the staff was v. friendly too and helped sort an issue around duplicate bookings. The only negative for us was the bathroom door doesn't fully close meaning you can hear everything :D

You couldn't be more central, the interior design of the hotel is fresh and beautiful, the place is squeaky clean, the ambiance music perfect, the staff super sweet.nnOur room was massive and I think that the website picture don't do it justice at all, so I added my own. We were thrilled at the size of the room and the cleanliness.nnOn the downside, no pool or included breakfast there is food, but you do have lots of restaurant nearby, a more than suficient gym and a great business center.nn9/10 in my book removed a point for the pool and breakfastnnNear perfection.

The location is convenient, as it's within walking distance of many interesting attractions. However, the hotel is overpriced for what it offers. The room is quite small, with no dressers and a very limited closet space. The coffee machine was broken, and the room only had one comfortable chair along with an office chair. The shower was cramped, and there was no option for a bath. Additionally, the bed was too soft, which made it uncomfortable and hard on the back. I would not recommend this hotel, nor would I stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Alt Hotel, and I can't recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, the Manager Rania ensured that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. She handled every minor issue with grace and professionalism, turning potential inconveniences into enjoyable moments. Her dedication to guest satisfaction truly set the tone for my stay.nnAdditionally, the atmosphere at the hotel was elevated by one of the bartenders/baristas Raf. His engaging personality made evenings at the bar a highlight of my trip. He not only crafted delicious cocktails but also created a welcoming environment that encouraged conversation among guests.nnOverall, the combination of Rania's outstanding service and Raf's vibrant energy made my stay at the Alt Hotel remarkable. I can't wait to return!
