Fairmont Château Laurier, Ottawa

Wonderful hotel! Super clean rooms, and the staff is very friendly! We stayed 4 nights, from Dec 25-30, and the Christmas decor was gorgeous. I was very impressed with how clean and well maintained the hotel was, given that it is a historic building. I've stayed at hotels that were 2x the price that were not as well maintained. We had a lovely holiday afternoon tea, felt a little under dressed in our jeans and sweaters, but we were treated very kindly. It was below freezing the entire time, and we walked everywhere - so we packed for warmth, not style. FYI, it's was super easy to get almost anywhere on foot from the hotel. Lots of great museums, restaurants, and shops!

My friend and I spent a night at the Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa on the weekend before Christmas, and as always, it was a magical experience. The Christmas decorations this year were absolutely stunning and added to the festive atmosphere.nnA special thank you to Phil, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He went above and beyond by accommodating our early check-in before our brunch at the restaurant, making us feel right at home.nnWe thoroughly enjoyed our buffet brunch at Wilfrid’s and ended the day with delightful late-night cocktails at Zoe’s. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we can’t wait to return next year to celebrate the holidays again at this iconic hotel. Highly recommended!

A beautiful hotel smack in the middle of the city that makes any vacation special. Beware.it is a busy hotel with frequent conferences and youth sports teams, but I never heard noise in the hallway. It's very convenient to the national arts center, museums, and in the winter if it's cold enough, skating on the canal.nThe most economical room is still a decent size, the only disappointing thing was the towels, which seemed more fitting for a budget hotel.nThe food in the hotel restaurant is excellent with a great variety of cocktails.nBe sure to check out the pool, it is an art deco masterpiece.

The staff are wonderful and the service is fantastic but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The building is obviously beautiful and the location is great but the rooms are tiny. The toilet was practically touching the tub in our bathroom and then main room was around 13 feet by 13 feet. Its a cool place to stay but you will get more for much less somewhere else.

Every interaction was warm and professional, reflecting their commitment to top-notch hospitality.nnMy room was impeccably clean, elegantly furnished, and equipped with all the comforts one could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after exploring the city.nnDining at the hotel was another highlight. The on-site restaurant offered a delectable menu, and breakfast was a delightful way to start the day.nnI cannot recommend the Fairmont Château Laurier enough for anyone visiting Ottawa.
