Had a fantastic experience today. The patio is dog friendly and staff brought out a water bowl for our dog which was so incredibly kind. The chicken pho was delicious and priced well. There were lots of beer and drink options and such a fun vibe.
We walked by this place many times and have always been drawn to the airy and open light-filled dining room. We decided today would be the day to try it out for brunch on our walk home from the farmers’ market at Hillcrest.nnI felt like I was in an expansive covered deck of a bar near the seaside as soon as we stepped into the restaurant. Although it was a warm and sunny day, we opted to sit inside at the street-facing end of a long communal table to cool off after a long walk.nnOne reason we picked Sing Sing for brunch was that we both felt like a cold beer. We picked our drinks right away. I opted for a fruity pale ale to go with my pho bo and my husband had a pilsner with his chicken katsu burger.nnMy pale ale was refreshing and it was a perfect accompaniment to my big bowl of pho with a large piece of briskets and a fair portion of beef slices and beef balls.nnWe left happily buzzed
Good spot for beer, cocktails and food. The kimchi pizza is a must! The shishitos peppers and prawn tacos were delicious too. The Boba Colada drink is amazing, so creative. Nice bright space, fantastic patios and lively atmosphere.
Sing Sing Main St surprised me in the best way possible. I came in without big expectations and left genuinely impressed by how creative and unique their food was. It’s not a traditional Vietnamese or Italian spot, yet their takes on pho and pizza felt bold, thoughtful, and memorable.nnI ordered the pho bo and the kimchi & brisket pizza.nnThe pho bo was the standout for me. Honestly, I wouldn’t even call it “pho” in the traditional Vietnamese sense—it deserves to be its own category. The broth was noticeably different: more herby, slightly saltier, and refreshing. I suspect they used ingredients like celery or other aromatics not normally found in pho, giving it a greener, brighter profile. Definitely not your conventional pho broth, but very enjoyable in its own way.nnThe meat selection also broke from tradition. Instead of thin slices of lean beef, they served a large chunk of brisket—about one-third fat and the rest meat. For me, that richness and beef aroma was off the charts, adding depth and indulgence that you’d never find in a typical pho. That said, if you dislike fatty cuts, it might not be for you. They also make their meatballs in-house. Unlike the springy, factory-style pho meatballs, these were spiced, ground into a paste-like consistency, and came out chewy, sticky, and bursting with flavor in every bite. A very unique and surprisingly delicious twist.nnThe kimchi & brisket pizza also worked shockingly well. I wasn’t sure how kimchi and brisket would land on a pizza, but it turned out balanced and addictive. The crust was thin, hot off the grill, and came to the table still sizzling. The brisket same cut as the pho but without the fatty bits was shredded into small pieces, layered with hoisin, mozzarella, green onion, cilantro, pickled onions, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of spicy mayo. That mayo drizzle was the secret weapon—rich, umami-packed, and possibly blended with hoisin. It elevated the pizza from “interesting fusion” to “actually delicious.” I’d come back just to try more of their experimental pizza lineup.nnThe only downside was the service. Everyone was friendly, but it felt understaffed or overwhelmed when we went. Our OpenTable reservation wasn’t properly ticked, even though I specifically told the server I booked under my name, which later flagged me as a no-show. Not a dealbreaker, but something they could tighten up.nnOverall, Sing Sing Main St is worth visiting for their unique food alone. If you’re a fan of pho or pizza and want to see both reimagined in unexpected but tasty ways, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back.
Awesome atmosphere with an open concept space love the garage door/open wall for a nice breeze. Lots of pho and pizza options on the menu. I had the Avocado Tofu Bowl which was really good plus the option for Poached Shrimp and the Green Juice that was very unique and refreshing. They were able to make my bowl GF by excluding the fried onions. Would love to see a couple more salad or rice bowls on the menu besides the one I got. I’d definitely come back!
