We checked in around 11p on a rainy night. The lady working the counter was nice, competent and quicky checked us in.nnRooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of toiletriesnnMorning breakfast had plenty of hot and cold options. Healthy like oatmeal and unhealthy like muffins.nnFree wifi and parking.nnPlenty of positives, no negatives.
The bed was comfy and room didn't have a super loud fan as seems to be common in hotels. My only complaint was the hot water in the shower needed like 15minutes to actually become hot....luke warm otherwise, which was a bit odd.
This place is simply awful and not in keeping with the Hilton brand.nUnfortunately, the challenges are at the core of the building, rather than operational and cannot be easily resolved, worst of which was the hot water pipes generating a terribly loud knocking sound adjacent to the headboard when someone in another suite is taking a shower – was enough to wake me both nights of my stay. Beds are not terribly comfortable and was worried about bedbugs the entire time after reading / seeing how this hotel plays host to refugees – whilst admirable, not idea as a guest. Paper cups and wooden cutlery at “breakfast“ sums it up nicely -whilst claiming an environmental position – is just a shoddy way of being cheap…
The Park and Fly service is amazing. The shuttle service is pick up at post #13 around C i arrivals. When you call on arrival, they come so call after you get through customs. Can't say enough good things about these guys. They made our trip great.
I have been traveling solo for business since 2009. I am a Diamond Hilton Honors Member. I have stayed at hotels, motels, and rooms all over the world. The experience at this property is easily the worst I have ever had in 15 years of travel.nnI chose my room using the HHonors app, and opted for a room on the seventh floor. When I got to the property I was told that the room was no longer available because it was currently occupied, and they moved me down to the third floor. Not a great sign, but things happen. I had no idea what was to come next. This hotel and the adjoining Homewood Suites are apparently transient housing for refugees while at the same time still offering rooms to unsuspecting travelers. At no point are you told this by Hilton anywhere on the property description.nnAfter I checked into the room chosen for me, I changed clothes, and headed to the hotel gym. The gym was completely filled with children playing on the equipment, running around, and being generally obnoxious. I was able to at least use the treadmill, but every other piece of equipment had some child playing on it. There was no adult present at any time. Both the Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites share gym and pool facilities so also be prepared for a crowd. This was a common theme at this hotel during my stay. Every single common area that you would expect to find reasonably available was typically occupied by one or more families apparently just using them as extensions of their own hotel rooms. They had no awareness that other people were trying to stay at the hotel, and if there was awareness they simply didn't care. Additionally, when I left the hotel for work after my first night at the hotel I noticed that there was someone just sleeping on the floor at the end of the hall.nnEvery single night for three nights starting around 21:30 the woman across the hall from me would stand outside her room yelling to one of her family members. The first night I let it go thinking that everyone has a bad night, and maybe this was hers. On the second night the same person across the hall from me decided that it was a great idea to turn her phone's speakerphone to full volume at 22:00, stand in the hallway, and have an incredibly loud conversation. As I am here for work I was already trying to sleep and needed to be up early the next morning. I complained to the hotel about this that night, and to be fair the staff seemed to respond as the woman in the hall at least went into her room. Maybe this person would have some awareness that this is not their personal property, and have some idea that other people but her do exist here. That would not be the case.nnOn the third and final night here I had to complain to the front desk twice for the same behavior by the same person, except this time there was an additional family added to the room adjacent to me who decided that it would be a great idea to begin singing loudly at 23:00. Both time neither complaint changed anything as the woman across the hall waited until 00:30 to have yet another loud conversation with a family member knocking on her door, and I had to speak to the room adjacent to me to ask them to respect that people were trying to sleep. During my second call with the front desk to complain I was given the option to move rooms which makes literally no sense to me. Why should I pack my things and move to another room when I am following the rules, and simply trying to sleep? Why is this behavior by other guests allowed with impunity?nnSummary: If you have no other option but to stay at either the Hampton or Homewood Suites at this address then beware, and be prepared. If you are a traveler and have any other option... DO. NOT. STAY. AT. THIS. PROPERTY. You would be better off anywhere else. You will get no sleep. You will have access to none of the facilities or benefits that you have either earned or paid for while you stay here.
