Stayed for 4 nights, the staff are so kind and incredibly helpful! The room was clean. Enjoyed the pool several times a day, food was good but wish they were open throughout the day for lunch as well.
Very nice courteous staff. Christine and James at the front desk were super helpful with everything. Christine made the booking process super easy although we got there late at night she was very helpful and polite and found the most suitable rooms for us.nThe rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable to sleep in. The bar is open for breakfast and dinner only.
First time in my life, Marriott has been an immensely unpleasant experience. My booking was made by American Express Global Business Travel which is the official vendor for all booking arrangements for government of Canada. I was asked by the receptionist Lance/Lanse to present government id/employer id, which I did not have with me, and honestly for the last 8 years of my work related travel, I have never been asked for government Id, I only show my drivers license to establish that it’s the person for whom the booking is made.nnAnyways, the conversation goes as follows; I indicated that I do not have government Id with me right now but I can show you my official government email, booking confirmation etc., and i expressed that I have never been asked to present a government id, to which, he flew a paper in front of me indicating that it has all the rules and for government discounts we need to validate the government/employer id. I said well I don’t have it, I can send you an email from my official government email address to establish I work for the government.nnI still acknowledged that it’s possible that you are right and my understanding may be completely wrong and I am required to present and carry a government id upon checking in in a hotel but I have never been asked about it except my drivers license. Lanse got agitated and responded alluding at the instruction papers so what’s here does not mean anything to you? He added that I am Not trying to be difficult here but I must verify your government id. I responded can you please show me where it says on your instructions paper that you must ask for government id so now he started looking up down left right next page but could not find that instruction and then told me that he will check me in.nnAll this to say that there is a better way to communicate, the choice of words, the behaviour, intonation patterns, you are not working in law enforcement but hospitality industry so words such as I am not trying to be difficult, what’s here does not mean anything to you? Where is it all coming from!nnUpon checking in, I wanted to add this reservation in the app for rewards, would not have taken 15 seconds that I started searching for the Marriott app on my phone I already have it installed on my phone so I was just locating it and Lanse said do you wanna call me from your room when you have found the app? There was not even another single another customer there that I could give him benefit of doubt that he was in rush to check in others.nnA very very bad attitude, no compassion, no courtesy, no politeness. Will never ever stay at this property again.
Our car was stolen from this hotel. When mentioning to their night time manager Gauran he quickly mentioned I had to sign to park my car and they are not liable. When asked why they lied that it is secured parking he made us aware it starts at 10:30 and the car was conveniently stolen at 10:08nIt looked at if Gauran enjoyed watching us miss our flights and deal with this stress.nnWhen asking Gauran to contact head office or an actual manager he smirked and said you want to file a complaint you go ahead. When I was simply asking for head office help with what proper protocol is.nnI was made aware often times that the hotel staff works with car thief’s and this situation definitely looks like this.nnZero compassion and thousands of dollars lost because we stayed at a Marriott. Don’t make the same mistake to stay with this brand.nnThank you courtyard
Very Poor Hotel. As a High level Marriott Elite member - I was disappointed beyond belief. I almost only stay at Courtyard and after my flight this hotel was lacking. The rooms and beds were layed out weird and very uncomfortable. The air conditioning barley worked as did the internet. The Bistro restaurant was a bar counter with basically no seating or AC. The “We serve starbucks” was not a starbucks counter but a MACHINE that charged $6 for a coffee and only had powdered cream.nnWhen contacting my works travel agent I booked through - an international travel firm. The Front Desk Supervisor essentially said Tough - and told us we should have said something when we were there but after a red eye I was exhausted. They also tried to claim they exceed Marriott standards - which i’ve stayed at nicer Travelodges. They offered 1000 bonvoy points as a good will gesture. Never again!
