Not sure why some bad reviews, but we thought very good mid market accommodation for the price.nNew furniture being introduced. Convenient parking, great views, trails to hoodoos outside.nnShower good, bed comfortable. Plenty of space in room. Kitchen had everything we needed + microwave plus huge fridge/freezer.nPlus free bus pass into town for your entire stay
We arrived earlier than our check-in time, but luckily, the staff was very accommodating. The woman who assisted us i think she was the supervisor she was approachable and handed us over to the receptionist, Natali, who was also kind and welcoming.nnThe building itself is a bit old, and the basement parking is quite small. If you’re planning to visit during the summer peak season and have a large vehicle like a pickup truck, parking in their basement might be a challenge.nnOur room was a Loft 1 for 4 adults and 2 kids. Despite the building being old, we had a very comfortable stay. The kitchen was a big plus—it was fully equipped with utensils and cookware, making it super convenient.nnWhat stood out the most was how much my husband and child enjoyed the amenities such as the waterslide. This is the only hotel we’ve seen in Banff with such a large pool slide—much bigger than others we’ve seen in canmore’s and banff’s. They also have a kids’ play zone, which our little ones absolutely loved.nnTheir service was also impressive. It’s available 24/7—when we called the lobby late at night regarding an issue, they quickly sent maintenance to our room, which amazed us.nnOverall, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend it, especially for families with kids!
Decent mid-range accommodation with great value for money, especially if you're a family needing multiple beds. Ideal if you have a car; otherwise, you might feel a bit cut off from Banff. We slept comfortably, it was quiet, and we could park right outside our room. The room could have been a bit cleaner.
I never know how to fairly rate places like this; to be clear I am not suggesting this is a “5-star hotel” because it’s definitely not. The rooms and facilities are worn and could definitely use a refresh but….they were clean; everything worked. And for the price we paid you’ll be hard pressed to find a better deal. The kitchen supplies were very limited but what they had was good quality even the knives were sharp but if you’re planning to do your own cooking you might want to invest in a baking tray. The complimentary shuttle bus made access to downtown a breeze. Its location on the outskirts made it very quiet. We didn’t use the water park. So all of that to say that no, this is not a “5-star resort” but we were completely satisfied with our stay and definitely would book again
We were woken up by housekeeping at 10 am. I asked her for a checkout of noon due being woken up early which she granted. I was then called by front desk at 11:15 am stated I needed to leave the room. When I explained the situation to the front desk person he said the latest he was able to do was 11:45 am and then he when i had more questions he was unwilling to work with me and he hung up the phone up on me. I called again and spoke to the supervisor Sharron she argued with me about the fact that this how they do things and they never had a problem before. Apparently people don’t mind being woken up at 9 AM. I’m the first one to complain in 30 years. They do not tell their housekeepers who has checked out so be prepared to be woken up by a knock at the door at 9 AM, this is their policy. They start knocking on every door at 9 am. Good luck getting any sleep here. When I tried to discuss it with the Sharron, the supervisor was belittling me and me told how standard this is. The room was also is a total state of disrepair. We used to love this resort and came here often I don’t know what happened.
