Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa

We would definitely recommend the Banff Caribou Lodge & Suites. The rooms very comfortable, clean and we had a good night's sleep. They gave us free bus passes during our stay. They have spa services and hot pool/sauna.nThere is The Keg Steakhouse Restaurant on premises and they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had great meals and the service including the hotel staffwas exceptional. We definitely will book there in the fall again

My friends and I came to the hotel to enjoy the skijouring weekend. The price was good and the hottub and spa area is nice but the rooms are a totally different story.nnThe shower has no pressure and the shower head was leaking everywhere.nAnd you cant redirect all the water to the shower head because the tub fawcet is also leakingnThe bathrooms need to refreshednThe bed was comfy but the fitted sheet was falling apart and looksnLike it hasn’t been changed in years.nThe tv remote is terrible. It just an average stay at the moment. It was once a beautiful hotel.

I stayed at the Banff Caribou Lodge for two days in November 2025.nnWhile not a luxury hotel by any means, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this lodging to Banff visitors.nnThe lobby of the hotel is well decorated. While the rooms are more basic, the rooms have everything a traveler needs except a microwave, which I would not expect.nnHowever, the highlight of my stay was the service. Every staff member I encountered was courteous and clearly made an effort to ensure I enjoyed my stay. My check-in experience was great as I was helped by a kind staff member. Furthermore, when I asked the front desk for a mouse pad from my room, a kind staff member offered to lend me hers, and then when I kindly refused, found a spare one and brought it up to my room.nnThe hotel also offers all you need for transportation. The hotel offers free underground parking to guests, and also provides free bus passes to guests for the duration of stay. While I did not use the bus pass as I had a car, they still insisted I take the passes just in case.nnThe only downside was the attached restaurant, The Keg, which is a franchise, did not offer the same staples as other locations such as their three cheese butter and happy hour menu. If able, i would recommend exploring local restaurants in the center of town.

NASTY ROOMS! I booked a room here for a few nights over the holiday weekend so that my girlfriend and I could enjoy our first trip away together. Neither of us have been to Banff before so I went all out with our stay; hardly sparing any expense only to find that the room wasn’t cleaned properly. I went to grab the hair dryer and was met with a previous guests used underwear and socks!! I went down to inform about it to the front desk about the situation and all they offered was a pie or a bottle of cheap $11 sawmill creek wine from the Keg yes i found the same bottle in store after… Really?? That's all that was offered to me? I spend over 1000$ on a room and they can’t even ensure that the room is cleaned properly? Absolutely unacceptable! On top of that, it took them over 2 hours for them to come and remove the items from our room and when they delivered the wine to us, the wine glasses they gave us were not clean. I’d expect this if we were staying at a cheap motel NOT a fancy resort hotel. Will not be staying here again, totally ruined the trip, i advise you to go anywhere else as the front desk staff are totally unsympathetic.nSCAM ARTISTS!

Let’s be honest, it’s dated. Time for reno, including the plumbing… but staff were awesome. Avoid lower floor or across from the pool unless you enjoy the smell of chlorine. First pick up and drop off of slopes, and downtown bus outside front door which was great.
