Fox Hotel & Suites

Highly recommend this hotel! The service was amazing- especially Jeet at the front desk. The hot tub was my favourite part of the hotel. The location is very convenient. Only downside was that towels don’t get stocked often at the hot tub, so we had to walk up to our room wet.

Overall a good experience. The rooms were clean as far as we could tell. Could use an update on the wallpaper and balconies need a sweep. Very interesting pool area. I'd definitely go stay here again.

All in all this hotel is fine for the price. Rooms and public areas felt clean, location is walking distance from the shops and some hikes. Rooms are sufficiently attractive and they have a super cool cave pool. Tho the chemicals being used down there caused my eyes to dry out and burn for several hours after hanging down there for an hour didn’t get head or hair wet. My friend was not affected. Also we were both delighted and horrified that a key feature of this hotel is you basically walk through a Chili’s restaurant to get to the rooms. But onto the poor service received here: one young employee is the subject of this part of the review: our room had a hair dryer that didn’t work so weak your hair dries faster w the air. I called and asked for a new one. He brought one that only blows cold air. I called again and he brought back the same one I advised was broken claiming he tested it. He then advised me not to press the cold air button if I want hot air . I plugged it in and its impossibly weak blow tipped me off he just brought the first one back. I then called again expressing the need in such cold weather to be able to dry my hair. I was finally given a working hair dryer. It’s kinda funny but mostly obnoxious and unnecessary behavior from a young adult working in tourism. We also discovered our room was not cleaned one day and called to get maid service. Same rude young man tried to blame it on us saying they don’t come if the do not disturb sign is on the door or things are on the bed. Our stuff was fully put away and nothing on our door . My recommendation to anyone reading this is there are similar hotels nearby with better service so you might as well stay elsewhere instead of having someone who is supposed to be helpful gaslight you and be rude for no reason.

Great hotel. Service is impeccable. The hot tub is very unique and cool. However it's so steamy there that it's impossible to see at times. The room is decent, small, could be improved with a fridge. I love that they provide bus passes for Banff. There is also a free shuttle to Louise and Sunshine which was amazing. The food at Chilis was sub par. Overall it's a really beautiful hotel.

I wish I could leave a better review. However this was nothing like I’ve ever experienced in banff and I’m there often for occasions. This hotel looked nice until you got to the rooms. They may be put together, but for the amount I paid for one room, let alone 2, was crazy and not worth it!!!! The bedding is literally a sheet, the walls are PAPER THIN, and in our rooms we had a door that lead to another room on the opposite side of the hotel. So we heard EVERYTHING… we didn’t sleep with all the noise of screaming and yelling all night. Chilis and the hot tub is the only good thing about this hotel.. NOT worth the $1200 I spent for my birthday weekend and rather upset…
