Buffalo Mountain Lodge

We had an amazing weekend here for nephew's wedding. The fireplace is a beautiful and relaxing feature in every room. We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was delicious. I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict and I savored every bite. My husband had the breakfast bagel which he enjoyed also. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Didn't get a chance to test out the hot tub but family members that did said it was great. The decor for nephews wedding was beautiful and the staff did amazing turning over the room from ceremony to dinning room. Would definitely recommend this accommodation and will stay again.

LOVED staying here week before Christmas, complimentary shuttle to town & pick up. The staff is very friendly, can rent movies to watch if you just want to stay in, fireplace in each room which they can set up of asked, there's a few trails walking distance from this place that were Amazing! Hoodoo and the mountain trail. Views from just walking outside the back door of the room is awesome, on the second day saw all outside our room, went for a hike to the Hoodoos and saw no joke over 20 blocking the road, almost paid to get the wildlife tour but it all worked out. There's the sleeping buffalo restaurant that's a nice place to eat but if you want something quick and easy there's also the mini cafe on the lodge's property, actually pass the cafe on our way to the main lodge lobby, has pretty good food as well. There's also a laundromat and mini grocery store walking distance from the lodge, and lodge has a mini outdoor hot tub, and so close to town that some places deliver. Will Def be back!

Awesome place for a get away! Great staff at the front desk. The shuttle to town is awesome and always quick. Prompt service whenever we needed it or had questions. Real fire place is an awesome touch, no need to turn the tv on for 3 days. The hotel had discount cards for ski rentals in town, and when I forgot my bathing suit they mailed it to me right away. Only thing I can complain about is that the hot tub is more of a warm tub. I would definitely visit again!

*This review is for the restaurant only* This review is also based on what should be a high traffic weekend, the Easter weekend buffet. I would promote the chef to his next opportunity. I have been attending this facility in lodging and restaurant for more than two decades and the food has continually decreased. This is a small buffet that should not be hard to handle in terms of freshness, quality and variety of food. This speaks volumes. We found the food to be not fresh, not that great tasting and old. I won’t be going back.

Very nice place. One of the last places with wood burning fireplaces. Restaurant is to die for. Good for a romantic getaway or a family getaway. Worth the money.
