So many issues here. The so called heated pool was freezing until some lady really complained on day 2 of our stay. We then noticed they turned on the heat cause the input water feeds became warm. Parking here is brutal. The underground parking is full by 5pm. The streets around here are permit parking only and very full. They failed to tell us this at check in and when we came back at 8pm from dinner one night, we had nowhere to park. At least warn your guests about parking so they are not surprised when they return in the evening to find there is nowhere to leave their vehicle for the night.nnThe staff here are brutally unfriendly. Even asking for more towels the lady sighed and made it seem like we were being an annoyance. The check in lady was rude and lacked any emotion. There is basically no customer service here. Also half the time there is a sign at the front desk saying they will be back soon. At least give a time of return. So brutal. This place has zero customer service.nnBasically you should just avoid this hotel. We will never stay here again and for the price they charge there are much better properties. It was shameful they carry the best western name.nnThe only nice thing is they are newly renovated and the rooms were nice. Beyond that do not expect anything else.
Stayed at the hotel from Oct. 26-28.nExcellent stay! The staff are excellent. We are satisfied with our room. The breakfast was perfect. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, it was so relaxing. Hotel was walking distance from everything.nAlso, they have under ground parking which is very safe and convenient.nWe’ll definitely stay here again!
We had a fantastic stay. The ladies at the front desk were phenomenal & our two daughters loved interacting with them. They gave us invaluable advice on local landmarks and the best ways to get around. We loved the access to the coffee machine in the lobby & the breakfast was perfect for us + our young children. Location was great & room was perfect. Loved the view of the mountains from our room and the pool.
We stayed for 3 nights, and I loved the room—it was very clean and cozy. The breakfast, pool, and hot tub were great. However, I did not like how the front desk lady treated me when I checked in. In my opinion, she was demanding and rude toward me. She kept speaking Tagalog in front of me with an angry expression. I just want to let you know that while you might have had a bad day, people come from all over the world to visit Banff and expect to feel welcomed.Thank you
Easily accessible with underground parking even for trucks. Swimming pool and continental breakfast available. Very friendly service and room keeping. Their coffee machine is fantastic. I had a few cappuccino's. Remember to use your points. Wheelchair friendly. The entrance was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Not a far distance from local stores and downtown. Easy walking distance with public transport available
