Charlton's Banff

This hotel is decent for the price although I would have liked to get our 20% off at the evergreen restaurant as stated on this note left for us in the room when we arrived but unfortunately we had to pay full price for our breakfast wich was overpriced, the pool was not operational and the parking was an additional 17$ a day. Overall for a 3 star hotel it's not bad and you can enjoy your stay just don't expect anything crazy for the money spent here.

We stayed here for the weekend with our dog. I'm not sure if the dog friendly or the loft option got us a very old carpet stained beat-up furniture room. At least it has a convenient area for the dog to potty. The parking is extra. There is some limited street parking behind the hotel. The pet fee is 25CAD/night average.

Cozy hotel with nice upgradesnNot a very modern looking from the outside but the room i stayed in was very modern and faced the mountains.nWell kept, clean and large enough to fit a family.nThe staff was very friendly and reception provided all the information I needed for my staynStayed 2 days and loved it. The Keg was a 3 minute walk right next door and that made it even better as I walked to dinner and back without having to drive. Parking was a breeze.

We stayed with kids for two nights and we enjoyed it a lot. The staff was friendly and helpful, big thanks to Bohdan for being helpful and thoughtful about customers of the hotel.nEven though the pool was under renovation we got a chance to enjoy the pool at the other hotel of the franchise.nThe rooms were clean and the location is great.

Worst booking ever… We showed up and had to wait for our room which would have been absolutely fine if we ended up having one. We booked a suite for around 600$ which is way too much for that hotel. One they gave us our keys, I walked in the room and there were towels on the sofa. We thought they just didn’t cleaned it until some poor woman told us to leave her room. We went back downstairs to reception and they told us that their system was down and that they had no other rooms available. They refunded us and told us to go to another hotel and said that the room would still be 600$, but not for a suite we paid for. When we asked if we would be compensated they said that we might get it 50% off in the morning when the manager got there. We ended sleeping in our car as no one could give us an actual answer on the night of. Later the manager said they would only have given us 10% off the food at the hotel.. I’m not sure if they acted this way because we were young adults 23 & 25 or if they treat everyone this way… would not recommend as on top of this everything was old and our 600$ suite view was another hotels wall. On top of that the manager sent us an email saying it was our fault for booking through the third party from their own website!
