Value Village

I love this value village. I come here a few times a month since opening. Both personally and for work with my clients who have disabilities. As far as Value villages go it’s pretty clean, organized, and has great finds. It is close to the train station so you do get the disturbance, but they have security.

One of my favourite Value Village locations in the city, I never leave empty handed! Always a great selection of stuff, the store is much cleaner than some other Value’s, and the employees are awesome! My only issue, as with every other thrift store nowadays, is that some of the prices can be crazy sometimes when you remember that these are used, donated goods at the end of the day. But you can still find tons of good deals if you look hard enough!

Location, location, location. This is prime real estate. I can’t speak highly enough for the staff, volunteers and security that all work at this location. They are very friendly and welcoming. Sometimes when I drop off a bag of items to donate, they occasionally hand a 20% off coupon as a warm thank you.nnIt must be a lot of work, sorting through all of the donations. A lot of the times, I see generous people with moving trucks filled with items to donate or families with truckloads of items.nnThis is a great way to help people in need and the prices are at market value too which is even more compelling to go in and check things out.

This Halloween, I was truly looking forward to delivering a basket to a young man in our neighborhood. He is bravely battling stage 3 Lymphoma, and couldn't go trick or treating.nnSo, I decided to go to Value Village looking for a Fairy Godmother costume to wear for when I delivered this young man's basket to him.nnWhile at Value Village, the help I got from two women working there was above and beyond what I'd ever expect. They helped me so much in finding the right costume, brought me different ideas, and really took an interest in trying to find the perfect costume for me. I deeply appreciated their efforts.nnThank you Value Village for your help! I'll be back soon. I was shocked to see how many cool, vintage items you had! Love the boho look nnThank you again for your help in making this Halloween evening perfect, for this strong, young man.nnAll the best.

Good selection but I return item the next day and was told to return at the end of the 2 week return window. By then I'd forgotten so return was 1 day later and they offer a coupon for 20% next purchase but would only take item back as a donation. Won't let that happen again.
