We were in Calgary on vacation and I wanted to check out Sentry Box for some D&D products as we do not have any stores remotely close to where we live. I was very impressed with the store. They had everything from Warhammer to D&D, regular board games to playing cards. I could easily spend all day in this store and the staff were very friendly.

Wonderful nerdy place to spend an afternoon with friends or to drop in for honest and fair card trades. They also have free arcade games.

Always a great experience here - loads of awesome stock for precons and singles mtg player. Staff is very knowledgeable and take the time to help you out depending on your needs as a newer or experienced player.

I've been going to Sentry Box Cards as both a player and collector of various TCGs for years now.nnThe staff have always been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in my experience; From asking info on a newly released TCG, to even helping me build my first commander deck.nnTheir store credit system is also the best I've seen in comparison to other game stores I've been to. They'll give a good and fair trade credit for my singles based on their current Canadian market value. They also reward good credit for placing well in their in-store tournaments. Credit's not limited to singles and can be used for anything other than tournament entry in the store: from singles, to card sleeves, to sealed product. As someone who bounces between various games, this system is fantastic.nnThe store also has a very spacious play area that can usually accommodate both tournament and free play for MANY people.nnI've seen and been a part of many local TCG communities that have grown because at Sentry. I recommend the store to both players, collectors, new and old alike!
