When they learned we were celebrating our anniversary, they congratulated us with real enthusiasm and went out of their way to elevate the experience. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade, which set the tone for the rest of our stay. Shortly after settling in, a beautiful welcome amenity arrived featuring delicate macarons and rich chocolates, an elegant and heartfelt gesture that made us feel truly valued rather than simply accommodated.nnThe upgraded room itself was fantastic. It was impressively spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind after a busy day. The design was sleek and modern, with a stylish aesthetic that felt both luxurious and comfortable. Everything was spotless, from the bathroom to the linens, reflecting a clear attention to detail and pride in presentation. The room felt calm, refined, and perfectly suited for a celebratory getaway.nnWhat made the stay especially memorable was how effortless everything felt. I had an absolutely outstanding experience at the W Toronto downtown, and I want to personally recognize Shakta, James, and Darina for making it truly unforgettable.nnFrom the moment I arrived, the level of professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality was exceptional. Shakta went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled seamlessly. James demonstrated remarkable attentiveness and class, creating an atmosphere that felt both welcoming and elevated. Darina’s positive energy and dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out she anticipated needs before I even had to ask.nnWhat impressed me most was their teamwork. The coordination, communication, and care they showed reflected world class hospitality standards. It’s rare to encounter service that feels both luxury driven and authentically personal at the same time.nnThank you for setting the bar so high. I will absolutely be returning and recommending this property to friends and colleagues.nnExceptional service from an exceptional team.

We had a really lovely stay here for two nights. The hotel was clean, and the room layout was a little different than what we’re used to, but it worked well and we had no issues.nnWe ordered room service a couple of times and really enjoyed it, and breakfast each morning was great. Definitely try the lemon ricotta pancakes, so good! A special shoutout to Kathy N, our breakfast server. She was super warm, friendly, and attentive. She made our mornings feel easy and welcoming, so we really appreciated her for that.nnWe did have one small hiccup where housekeeping forgot to put the duvet cover on, which we didn’t realize until late at night. But the manager handled it quickly and professionally, which we really appreciated.nnOverall, a great experience and we cant wait to come back!

This is not an area of downtown where I am often looking for a coffee shop, but we found ourselves there on a weekday morning in desperate need of a good coffee and a small snacknnThis is a café you could possibly miss from street level because of the  window configuration. However,if you take time to stare into the windows you will see that this is a beautiful, comfortable, and contemporarily designed coffee bar with absolutely great coffee.nnImmediately upon entering the café, we were warmly greeted by the baristas and encouraged to find a seat before we came up to order.nnI am becoming increasingly aware of the hospitality aspects to a visit to a good café, especially when we are paying a reasonably high price for a cup of coffee. As it is obvious from my numerous reviews, I think Toronto has an absolutely amazing coffee scene, and what could really elevate that scene would be the attention to hospitality in the industry like that we experienced at the W  cafe.nnThere is absolutely nothing more welcoming than being acknowledged by the barista when you walk into a café and clearly directed to how the flow of the café works. We took our seats and then proceeded to the bar to order our coffee and were instructed that it would be delivered to us once it was prepared.nnIn addition to this great  service, our baristas were fully knowledgable about the coffee they were serving and discussed with me the different roast choices and why they were used for their different coffee preparations.nnOn this occasion, I ordered my standard Cortado and my companion ordered a macchiato. Both were beautifully prepared and presented and brought to the table with the required accompanying glasses of water.nnI also had a almond croissant to accompany, my coffee, and it was fresh, and not too sweet. A really good addition to our order.nnMany cafes in the city are now working with the Barocco  Coffee Roastery and I have been uniformly impressed by that selection of coffees.nnThis was a first class coffee experience, and clearly should be a destination for a great coffee in this area of downtown

Beautiful hotel. Great location in Yorkville. Amazing sushi and smoked old fashioned at the hotels  own Tono. The best experience at the hotelwas… Kian! Beautiful,  fun, friendly, educational conversation…. and professional photographer  We will be back!!
