This place is a great option for patients requiring out of town cancer treatment! The staff are consistently helpful and friendly. I am happy we have this place as an option for housing when in Toronto for treatment. The beds are a bit hard but egg carton cushion or a piece of memory foam solves the problem if this is an issue. The shuttle is an awesome convenience let alone a savings! Kudos to all the staff!
I want to say thank you to every one at the lodge, and also to the shuttle driver , for helping out with our two week stay at the lodge , it is an amazing facility. Meals were good, every one was helpful and made our stay much more enjoyable. It was clean, quiet, people were helpful and friendly. If you need some were to stay getting treatment it is the place to go.margaret and David Dodgson.
Great staff. Always a friendly smile when you come or go, which helps as you are going through a tough time. A community with people who are going through a similar situation and understand. It does have a hospital feel to the food, but overall you get a whole lot for the price. It is well worth it, especially if you live far away.
This place is a blessing for people out of town going through treatments for cancer. It's a warm safe place to call home for a time when we need a stress-free place to stay. I'm overjoyed having a place to stay while I'm in town for treatments it was my first time staying and it really helped me. You also get to meet so many other people going through the same things you are. Thank you so much !!!
What a wonderful experience. Taniesha, sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly, you're amazing! The security guards were so polite, friendly, and helpful. The shuttle driver was so nice. The entire concept of the place, "a home away from home" for cancer patients and our families, is the most generous of gifts. We are so grateful to all of you. Great experience. Thank you!
Price is great, food is so so, staff is good with exception of one individual, services are good and company is nice. Shuttle service is very very useful and usually on time. The beds are really uncomfortable though. Like ouch bad.
This is for Justin who wrote a previous review; "Shame on you!!" I'm sure if you had asked for a different bed, they would have accommodated you. As for your run-in w/ staff, it merely demonstrates that you don't belong here. I found the staff to be both compassionate and respectful. Let's be clear on what you get for a whooping sic $30/day, including tax. 1. The facility itself and personal rooms are immaculately clean; the beds are quite comfy. 2. You get 3 meals/day with, I'm sure, UNLIMITED servings. The food is well prepared and quite palatable. 3. There are numerous TV rooms w/large flat screens along w/ a craft and other assorted activity rooms. 4. There is a resource centre which houses 2 computers for your use and enjoyment in addition to having free wifi throughout the bld. 5. Complimentary shuttle service which runs to/from the PMH ALL day; a taxi alone would run you $20 return w/o tip. 6. Lastly, there is 24/7 hour security for your comfort and safety.
They were diligent & professional when looking after my brother. Offer entertainment, Tv room, small library. Close to many eateries. Exterior well maintained. Effective shuttle service. Offer spousal/caregiver accommodations. Sign in security.
For those that have to be there it is an awesome place. The people there are very helpful to all that are not feeling well. The lodge does not have their own parking. But there is parking in and around princess Margaret hospital for a price.
great accommodations but the food sucks... half the time you gotta guess on what their serving..can't live off the that and for those that are suppose to have alot of calories your best bet is to go out and eat..Some of the Staff are great people but in General cheap accommodations
