Only stayed for 1 night, so based on that it was a good experience. Check in smooth, room was spacious and clean. Comfy bed. Pretty central location in the city, close to everything. Valet parking was $60+tax so opted to self park somewhere else, otherwise overall good experience. Main lobby is also nice. They also gave us a $20 voucher to use at the cafe which was nice for grabbing coffee the next morning. Would book again.
I would not recommend spending your money here. I would suggest staying at the Fairmont Royal York around the block, where I stayed previously for about the same price and had a much better experience.nnIn my opinion, this does not feel like a 4-star hotel based on the room quality and hotel amenities. I have stayed at several 4-star hotels , and I would rate this property closer to a 3.5-star.nnThere were several issues with the room. Some fixtures, such as the door handles, were falling apart, and the air conditioning unit was noticeably louder than expected. The bathroom sink was poorly positioned next to the bed and extremely small—it honestly felt like using an airplane bathroom.nnI paid for a Tower Suite with a king bed, but the bed felt more like a queen size. I have a king bed at home and am familiar with the difference, so this was disappointing. As for the suite itself, it did not feel like a true suite. It essentially included an extra sink and a microwave near the entrance, but there was no additional living space or meaningful upgrade in room size.nnI was not satisfied with my stay and shared my concerns with the representative at checkout when asked about my experience. Unfortunately, the interaction gave the impression that the feedback was being collected as a formality rather than with genuine interest.nnOverall, the experience did not justify the price, and I would not stay here ever again!
Fifth time we have used this hotel to base ourselves in Downtown Toronto for a few nights. Great location to explore all visitors attactions as well as the waterfront and shopping areas. 5 minute walk from Union station, where we get the UP express train from and to the airport.nnWe were on the 46th floor which gives a great view across the city. Room was well appointed, had everything we needed and is serviced by housekeeping daily, which is getting less and less common.nnAll staff are super friendly and helpful. Will be using again next time we visit.
I chose One King West Hotel & Residence primarily for its downtown Toronto location; I had heard great things about the hotel and was able to secure a good rate through Booking.com, which made it an easy decision.nnMy husband and I were visiting downtown and needed to be close to the Passport Office, and the location could not have been more convenient. The hotel is also within walking distance of Union Station, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Financial District, restaurants, bars, shopping, and Toronto's theatre district.nnWe arrived in a Chevrolet Suburban, which unfortunately could not be accommodated in the hotel's parking due to its size. However, valet quickly directed us to a nearby parking garage just around the corner, which worked out well.nnThe lobby is smaller than some downtown hotels but is elegant, well-appointed, and makes a great first impression. I had originally booked a Historic Interior View Room but was assigned a Tower Room at check-in. Since I didn't get to experience the historic section, I can't compare the two, but the Tower Room was comfortable and well-equipped.nnThe room featured a kitchenette with burners, a sink, coffee maker, and useful amenities for longer stays. The large windows provided a nice city view, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was somewhat small and showed a bit of wear in places, something I'm particular about, but it was clean and functional.nnOverall, One King West offers a fantastic downtown Toronto location, comfortable accommodations, and great access to everything the city has to offer. I would consider staying here again.
Loved staying here! It's a beautiful and charming hotel! Came here for my birthday weekend and the staff made it so special. The food and drinks were great. Our bedroom was really nice, organized and clean. Would definitely recommend and come back to stay here!
