I’m honestly disappointed in myself that I haven’t used this Marriot over the other locations. We live locally and have our go to Marriot when we’re at a game. We used this location for the first time due to vicinity and while the rooms are meh, the service and vibe of the employees was ridiculously above and beyond. We checked in at 9:50pm, absolutely exhausted, checked in with Sharmin and she an absolute gem. Have a wicked parking tip for overnight… garage was a batcave with great security. She was super sweet and took time to chat with my wife and I on her break and then gave us mints. We ended up going to the bar and having her favourites- the salmon bowl and burger. Great recommendations and we also highly recommend. Jessica also served us and despite us being d-holes rolling in 30minutes before close was super receptive and very chill to be around. These women are rockstars. Well done Marriot, well done.
I have no complaints with staff or cleanliness it was all great. The rooms were as expected too. But the bathrooms were very dated. The common areas such as hallways, elevator etc were very very old feeling. And the gym was tiny. That being said, I would absolutely stay here again
I stayed here for one night for a work trip and it was great. I enjoyed the Bistro and the energy of it being so open. My dinner was great. I also enjoyed getting Starbucks in the morning. I am not sure if I'd pick it when travelling with my family no free parking, no pool, no breakfast buffet but for a quick stop myself it was great!
We are mid was through a 12 night stay. This has been a great hotel. The rooms are standard but the service has been fantastic. All the staff have been very friendly and helpful. The location has been great. Easy to find and get to with lots of dining options and shopping close by. Finally, the restaurant has been remarkably good. Sometimes hotel restaurants can be very basic but everything we have had has been really good and reasonably priced.
The Courtyard Marriott Downtown is located in downtown Toronto at Yonge and College. Steps away from the College subway station, east / west streetcar route, and walking distance to many great Toronto destinations. The hotel offers full service valet parking.nnThe Courtyard Marriott has a modern welcoming vibe. It feels fresh and luxurious. You could easily desire this hotel for a wedding, conference, or just a luxurious vacation at a reasonable price.nnMy room was beautiful, modern, stylish, and very comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh. Laying down on my king size bed was dreamy -- so comforting after a long journey. I slept beautifully. I loved the view of downtown Toronto and the city skyline.nnThe hotel has a pool and fitness center.nnOne thing I recommend is the full breakfast room upgrade. I was so happy I chose it. The hotel has an amazing open concept bistro restaurant. The food was delicious. Each day, I had a hot breakfast entree with delicious Starbucks coffee, juice, and fresh fruit. I don't usually care about breakfast but the food was a religious experience. It was truly delicious -- healthy, lots of options for every palate. The restaurant staff are so friendly, generous, and take pride in serving you above and beyond. In the evening the bistro is a place to unwind with a classy cocktail with friends, or watch the game, and has yet another delicious menu.nnThe last thing I want to mention is that every member of staff always had a genuine smile for you. They care about the little things that add up to the big thing -- making you feel like you are a VIP.nnSpecial thanks to Caroleena who works at the front desk. She saved me out of a mistake I made that would have ruined my vacation. I am really grateful and again, she made me feel like a VIP.nnTo conclude my review, I want to highly recommend this hotel. They made every detail of my stay unforgettable. I absolutely can't wait to return!
