Motel 6 Toronto - Brampton

I saw the other reviews and was really nervous to stay there, but they are the only ones who took pets. I was actually pleasantly surprised. Yes, the rooms are small, but ours was clean, including the bathroom, sheets and comforter. The bed was not bad at all, not a lump to be found. I don't know if it was just luck, but our room was good and our over experience was good.

Not a great experience. The minute you check in they insist on payment for a room you haven’t seen. Then the TV didn’t work in the room. We had 4 adults and 3 children between the two rooms, I had requested a cot when booking, but was told they didn’t have cots after check in. They wouldn’t give more than 2 towels extra and 1 pillow and blanket extra. We were there for a funeral the next day. The beds were like sleeping on springs, uncomfortable and lumpy. Then to truly cap things off the fire alarm went off at 5:15am! I realize there was no control over that issue but if someone had been watching the security monitors they would have seen the smoker in the stairwell before the alarm was triggered. We asked the manager for a discount on the room because of the problems and got told NO because we had a seniors discount they couldn’t refund anything. I am never staying there again. The Motel 6 in Mississauga on Argentia had bugs and the beds were worse than the recently renovated Brampton location. I was very disappointed with both the service (or lack there of) and the quality of the rooms.

It was not very good. The smell of cigarette smoke was everywhere. We noticed as we entered and the receptionist put it for people smoking outside. But the law says no one may smoke withing a specific area of the hotel. The room was also smelling of smoke so much so that we complained to the night manager who promised to check. The blanket was not adequate to keep me warm. Other than that, the room and bathroom were OK. There was no information re. wifi. We booked for seven days but checked-out after a night. There was too much noise from other rooms on the floor.

The front desk staff was incredibly rude when we tried to check in. They didn't even say hello. When we tried to ask questions, we were cut off before finishing our questions. Front desk staff had a certain time in his voice that gave off the feeling that he was not happy to see us. He was also not helpful in suggesting any nearby restaurants. The rooms were below average. There is no microwave or fridge in the rooms. The sheets had some stains on them. The toilet had stains that looked very disgusting. It is safe to say that next time I return to this city, I will be spending a little more money to stay at a better hotel.

Looks nice outside but walls are paper thin, can hear everything from other rooms. Its a non smoking building but all you could smell in the hallways was weed and cigarettes. Staff not very friendly at all and sink in bathroom didnt drain. Not what i expected for the price of the room.
