MEC South Edmonton Common

Very nice place. Really clean and has a very classy look to it. Lots of selection and quality products but they do come with some pretty big price tags. Would reccomend coming here even if you don't camp but if you do end up making a big purchase I would shop around just to make sure the price gaps are ridiculous (as some can be). Also good to be noted you need a member ship to shop here which is a one time 10 dollar fee too.

Went to this place with a buddy after Sportchek and Atmosphere gave abysmal customer service. Looking for biking shoes. The guy that helped was amazing at his job. Really knowledgeable and was excited to talk bikes. He used to downhill bike but says he can no longer afford it, this is the place to go.

Well done, MEC (REI of the North). Nice to see a robust cycling department even in the winter, including studded tires and lights. Bike brand-price range could be wider though. No alpine skis other than touring?

Great selections. More than just a bike store. Open concept. Staffs are very helpful. You need to get a membership for $5 to shop there.

Definitely the best MEC in the Edmonton area in terms of selection. MEC has moved heavily in their own brand and other options are available in store but keep in mind it is now more of a brand store than a variety when it comes to clothes. Also, for those that don't know, membership is required to shop. $5 at the time of this review.
