The first 2 photos are the IDs I had with me for several years and as a newcomer to Canada, I am aghast by the substandard lamination service with that exorbitant price!nnWhen I asked the lady why it was done like that the edges was not even trimmed neatly and the plastic allowance around it is just LOL , she told me that is exactly the condition how I handed it to her.nI mean, isn’t it just common sense to at least trim it neatly before laminating it?nAnd look , it even has some of the paper sticking out of the edges so it really isn’t completely sealed around it!
Unfortunately I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service I received when going to print 2 pages for my baby shower. My mom had previously purchased card stock FROM Staples, in which she had printed a lot of signs for me and shipped to me she lives in Ontario. She had given me extra card stock in case I needed to reprint anything and I had to reprint some thank you tags. I went into the south common Staples location this morning and asked for assistance from one of the workers by the printers. I mentioned that the card stock was purchased from Staples and that I just needed two pages in colour for some thank you tags. Instead of giving me card stock options which I later found out they had, she said they couldn’t do it, to which I asked “oh, how come?”. She then, while walking away and not answering me, said this is what we have, and put down paper options in front of me and said that was all I could choose from. I was later informed, after I had waited and ultimately left, that they had card stock options and that the reason they weren’t able to use my card stock was because the printers they have couldn’t handle it. Perfectly fine! If only the employee would have given me that information instead of shooing me off and telling me it couldn’t be done unless it was from one of the choices she gave me. The manager was also supposed to come and find me in the store but never did. I’m 8 months pregnant with a toddler and don’t have time to stand around for 15 minutes when the employee could have just done her job properly. I also work in customer service and ensure I have the information I need to tell customers why something can’t happen. I think some of your staff need to be retrained on how customer service works.
I’m a mature student going back to school, I’ve used staples for all supplies on this journey, which is why I bought a printer here. I also bought an extended warranty for any problems that come with that printer. I went to return it this afternoon after ongoing Bluetooth connection issues. I went to return it at the store I bought it well within my warranty time and was told they were not able to honor my warranty because I didn’t have the original box I bought the printer in, even though we had the specific serial number. But apparently not having the box causes a shipping issue. Then they told me they had nothing to do with the warranty even though they sold it to me and it was done through a third party and I should call them directly, lots of holes in their story and very unclear- meanwhile the manager on duty, a middle-aged short red haired lady, hides from offering any assistance and is completely absent in trying to help me with my broken printer. So, I call the warranty place while sitting in the staples parking lot and because my printer is not plugged in and I cannot let them try to solve the Bluetooth connection issue over the phone they cannot help and ask me to call back when my printers plugged in. Why would I show up to store a store with my broken printer, the proper receipts and warranty explain my issue and have no one either assist me or believe me. Either way staples has lost my future student business. No wonder they’re struggling. Mismanaged and shady warranties make the company pretty scammie for me. Btw the printer was $50.00. Sad day for Staples when they can’t honor store returns or even store credit for a simple cheap item for such long term loyal customer.
Deepak and his manager whose name I forget, sorry! were assisting me today when I was trying to buy a standing desk from Staples today. Within a minute of showing up in their department, the manager approached me and made sure to stop what he was doing and inquire if I needed help with anything. He brought me a tape measure, plugged in the desk to test how it worked, helped ensure the sizes and specs were correct from the desk I was looking at, and brought his sales representative over to help answer further questions while he checked on stock in his store and nearby stores. I definitely felt cared for as a customer.nnDeepak helped ensure that I received the delivery I was hoping for, helped me understand the warranty limitations and what I'd be covered for, and double-checked all the details of the desk to make sure I'd be happy with it. To top it all off, I felt like the showroom was spotless! It was a muddy day, but the floors still looked clean and clear. Quite impressive.nnI'm looking forward to the delivery of my desk in a matter of days, and will be happy to shop with this Staples location again.
Devarsh Shah was really helpful and upfront with assisting us during our visit today. We were looking for mobile phone plans and phone service subscription as I wanted to get a gift for my wife on Mother's day. He was honest and upfront and did not try to oversell us anything we didn't need. I highly recommend working with him if you are already with Bell or Virgin Plus providers. He can get you great deals or tell you when deals are coming.
