This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had. The view was the only thing worth mentioning positively. Everything else fell far below the standards I would expect from a Marriott, especially considering the extremely high price.nnThe room was very basic and lacked even the most common amenities. The fridge was completely empty, with not even a complimentary bottle of water. Only two coffee pods and two glasses were provided, which felt cheap and inadequate. To make matters worse, both the shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty.nnThe service was poor and unprofessional. Staff showed little attention to detail or concern for guest comfort. It felt as though the hotel relies entirely on its view while neglecting the quality of the actual guest experience.nnFor the amount charged, this stay was simply not worth the money. I have stayed in much cheaper hotels that offered better service, better amenities, and a much more welcoming atmosphere. I left feeling disappointed and frustrated.nnI would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
The hotel is mostly great, staff is awesome and it's well situated on the quiet side of the falls. Rooms are large and clean. If you aren't staying in a room with falls views there is a large window where you can see it next to the elevators which is a nice touch. Only reason why I'm rating this hotel a 4 is because of the situation with the elevators. I feel like if you're on a lower floor you're just screwed sometimes. I was on a high floor and it'd be full before we hit floor 12 and we'd hit half the floors below that but we were at capacity and nobody could get on. I felt fortunate that we were on a high floor because elevators were already slow but at least we could get on when they stopped by...
We stayed in a high-floor suite and the view was absolutely wonderful. Being able to watch the Falls illumination show at night was amazing, and seeing the sunrise shine over the Falls felt peaceful.nnThe room was fairly clean, and had good sound insulation, making the stay comfortable overall.nnHowever, the bathtub was clearly not cleaned properly. As soon as we filled it with water, unidentified dirt floated to the surface, making it seem like they didn’t expect guests to actually use it.nnThe breakfast buffet had limited options, and the dining area didn’t feel very clean. The tables were extremely sticky.nnThe hotel provided a $20 restaurant credit, but even for takeout orders they automatically charged an 18% tip, which felt quite unreasonable.nnAlso, the online menu didn’t clearly state the currency. We assumed the prices were in CAD, only to later realize they were “maybe” in USD after getting charged. Because they charged more than the prices in menu.nnEven the front desk staff seemed unsure at first and “guessed” it was USD because the converted amount to CAD “looked about right,” which made the whole situation quite confusing.
We had a wonderful stay at Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls. The room was very clean, including the fresh linens and well-maintained facilities. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breathtaking view of Niagara Falls right from the hotel. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and getting in and out of the hotel was very convenient, which made our trip even more relaxing.nnThe only suggestion we would make is for parking to be complimentary for hotel guests, as this would make the overall experience even better. Overall, an excellent stay and we would gladly return!
The room was absolutely gorgeous, because of the stunning view. The hotel however, can do better. The elevators were EXTREMELY slow. There are 4 in total, but the wait times are high, and when you get in, everyone at the lower floors are waiting for an elevator as well. We stopped at almost all the floors while going down, after waiting for about 5 mins for it to even arrive. There’s also no bottled water in the rooms, and the refill station in the lobby was empty both times I tried visiting for a refill, which is a big inconvenience after stopping at every floor while getting down.nnThe wifi was not connecting at first, and after connecting it worked for a few minutes and then stopped. When i called room service, they simply read out the phone number of support and asked me to call them. After calling the provided number, it disconnected after a couple seconds. Something as basic as wifi is better done by local diners nearby as compared to a fallsview hotel.nnThe room and service overall is pretty standard but they can definitely improve in other areas.
