I want to say, great location and friendly service. But don’t advertise AC in the rooms and then we find out it’s “turned off”. We never slept so uncomfortable and hot in a hotel. They tried switching us to another room, but it got just as hot….and no, the heat wasn’t on. If we’re paying good $$$ for a room, it should be for everything including AC….also, charging $25 a night to park in your parking lot for a hotel we’ve paid for is robbery. If we would’ve known about the no AC, we would’ve booked elsewhere.
Having stayed at 3 different hotels this trip, I felt that this 4 star doubletree was the worst compared to the other 3 star hotels we were at earlier that week. The pillows were too soft whereas the other hotels we were at had both firmness pillow types. The sheets were rough compared to the Hampton inn and Comfort inn. There was no complimentary hot water or coffee, no microwave, no free breakfast... but I guess you come here for the spacious room, the river view and the modern style decor and amenities. We enjoyed the view, the pool and dry sauna which is the only reason I would come here again. Sleep was mediocre.
Premium View Room, US Falls View. Excellent room and service. Wego bus stop right across the street from the hotel. 20 minutes walking to the Incline Railway which takes you to the base of the Canadian Falls. Nice view of the Fireworks.nWe ate at Buchanan's which is the restaurant inside the hotel, we had breakfast and they offered both a menu and buffet which we enjoyed.nThe kids really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Stayed for New years. This hotel was a great location for us. 10 min walk to just about anywhere we wanted to be. Parking lot is a great size easy in and out. The hotel is beautiful everything we expect from a double tree. Rooms are spacious our view from the 10th floor was great. My only complaints are the room was horribly hot. In winter you cannot control the heat. Only shut off the unit and crack the tiny window open. Starbucks isn’t a normal Starbucks. Not sure why it really has that name. We walked to skylon tower for a normal Starbucks. Coffee in the room is yucky. Coffee pod thing is scary to operate. The pool here is awesome. We spent a good amount of time in the pool and hot tub. In all we would stay here again. It was clean. The staff is friendly and attentive.
We booked through Hotel.com. It was priced well, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were ok comfortable, but the pillows were weak. I liked that rather than supplying little bottles of shampoo and conditioner, there were big bottles fixed to the walls in the shower. The water pressure was right from the Falls itself it was so powerful. It was not far from the nightlife to walk and keep your car at the hotel. They charged $25 for parking at the hotel, so we didn't want to pay more when touring Clifton Hill and the Falls. I missed seeing any of that information anywhere. I would stay here again since there was an indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna to enjoy.
