We stayed at Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa and had a very good experience overall.nnJulia at the reception was really nice and helpful. She checked us in for our three rooms and tried her best to give us rooms close to each other, which we really appreciated.nnThe rooms were very good, and all of them had beautiful waterfall views. The only downside was the waiting line at reception. They seemed to have only one or two counters open out of four, possibly because they were training new employees, as we noticed two staff members at each open counter.nnThe valet team was excellent. The guys were very nice, friendly, and welcoming.nnOverall, it was a great stay, especially because of the rooms, the views, and the helpful staff.
Me and my boyfriend spent a night here for my birthday and our anniversary. I paid double what I would have at the Marriott across the street from this one, specifically for the jacuzzi and view of the falls from the window. I was displeased to find that the view was not at all like the picture showed online for the room, it was much smaller, blocked by trees, and only being on the 7th floor…just generally was not as nice as I expected. That wasn’t too big of a deal, I wasn’t going to complain because it was definitely still a nice room. Unfortunately our plans to use the jacuzzi bath were thwarted as well thanks to a complete lack of hot water to the entire room. When we called the front desk to see if there was something they could do or what was happening, they said they were having problems with the power but it will be working again in an hour. So me and my boyfriend went on a 3 hour long walk to ensure that by the time we got back we would be able to use it. We tried again, and nothing had changed. I have looked at reviews since leaving and noticed multiple complaints about no hot water so it has definitely been an issue for quite a while with no fix or warning. I would have gone to the front desk to talk about my disappointments, but their attitude towards me and my boyfriend upon checking in turned me away from doing so. I don’t know if it’s because we are young, and it was my first time so I seemed unseasoned, but there was absolutely no patience or kindness.nnAll in all, we made the best of our stay because, again, I paid A LOT for this room and we were set on enjoying our anniversary, but it was not worth the money and the plans we had for our romantic night completely fell through. If you plan on showering or bathing during your stay I suggest staying elsewhere.
I would like to recognize the hotel manager Mr. rick Jani for providing an exceptional guest experience. From the moment I arrived, they demonstrated professionalism, genuine care, and attention to detail. Their leadership was evident throughout the property, and they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.nnThe manager handled every request promptly, maintained excellent communication, and created a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff. It is rare to encounter someone so dedicated to customer satisfaction. Their commitment to excellence made a lasting impression and is a major reason I would gladly return to this hotel.nnThank you for making my stay truly memorable. Marriott is fortunate to have such an outstanding leader on its team.
I want to give this hotel 5 stars because I have had nothing but good memories here during my many stays … however, the rooms are ever so slightly outdated. One time I had a broken window, another, a sink that didn’t drain. This last time, the grout in the bathroom was stained and the AC just didn’t work, the rooms are so hot.nnAnother down side is the parking situation. The lot for the self park marriot is a 10 minute walk away, across a couple of busy streets. Pulling up to the marriot during busy hour is a nightmare the valet is doing their best at guiding the cars and they are so kind but the lot out front the hotel is so small and cramped, it takes forever to pull up just to unload your luggage.nnBut to me, these were minor things compared to the overall cleanliness of the rest of the hotel.nnThe view of the falls is amazing, I could stand and watch them all day!nnI love the lounge, it’s clean during the day. At night guests often trash the place, such disrespect lots of snacks and great coffee options!nnBreakfast is so tasty! We always request Suzy as our waitress for breakfast, she’s just the sweetest, friendliest woman I’ve ever met!nnThank you for many great memories!
If you only concern about hotel's location - then you are all set. The rest of the experience, unfortunately, didn’t leave the best impression. While the location of the place is wonderful, the hotel itself feels rather dated, dark, and only questionably clean, especially considering the high nightly rate, and nearly everything comes with an extra charge, even self-parking starts at $50 per night, and valet is $70... and then + taxes, taxes, and more taxes.nnReaching the Niagara falls also isn’t as straightforward as expected; you either need to pay for the funicular or walk a fairly long distance. Ok food, mediocre coffee, and basic items are noticeably expensive as well.nnWhat concerned me the most, and still does, that almost immediately, just as soon as I got my key and enter the room, I received notifications of the unexpected charges on my credit card, especially made on early-morning, while I still slept, charges that appeared on my credit card around 5 a.m.nnWhen I asked the front desk, I was told it was “not a big deal,” and that the hotel “automatically checks whether the card still works.” Why would Marriott charged my cc some random sums, after it already got full charge for the whole stay? No clear explanation was offered. Desk agent reassured me these were only pending authorizations and would disappear after checkout.nnAnd yet, several days after I left hotel the charges were still there. Overall, it’s not a terrible stay, but for the price, I expected a much better experience and greater transparency.nnMy recommendation; if you are planning to spent your time sitting in the room, then maybe you should bite the bullet and pay per night about $350US+parking. If you are there to enjoy the scenery and be outside, it would be prudent to find a cheaper place to sleep/stay and just drive around.
